I saw this earlier. Is this the Paul turner who was at LSU? If so, we produce wr in the nfl who don't make catches their senior year(wright) who were supposed to throw a pass at lsu(Shepard) and now guys who transfer because they were never going to see the field

He is a WR that was originally at LSU and transferred to Louisiana Tech.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson is from Monroe. There is the connection and another WASTED talent by Les Miles headed to the NFL.

Hated playing against him in high school Paul "the burner" Turner kid was so fast. And it was shown when our defensive end stripped the ball out of his hands and he ran him down in 10 yards, when he was going the complete opposite way

dude shut the frick up

Turner did not fit in at LSU (culture wise). Have you met him? Thats why he transferred. Also, Chavis really really wanted Turner to come play safety (I thought he would have made a fantastic FS with his length and athleticism). Judging his last years at Tech and his recent rookie success I'd say Miles knew what he had by keeping him at WR. So find something else to nitpick Les over.

Also, even in his years at Tech he was never healthy and kind of overshadowed by Taylor and Henderson. Although he did have some outstanding games.

Im a huge Paul Turner fan; I loved watching him dominate running the WM option, but your statement is completely false.

Louisiana Tech alum. Apparently, there is no Louisiana Tech board.

He was roommates with Jalen Collins, Jalen Mills, and another New Orleanian (all of which had more "hood" in them than Paul)

Furthermore, he went on to graduate with an accounting degree from LA Tech.

His father is a highly respected police captain in West Monroe.

Catch my drift?

I'm not saying PT is an "uncle tom" but he definetly wasn't about the LSU partying/tomfoolery lifestyle.

4.0 for life son of a police officer. Obviously he spelled Culture the right way and didn't fit in.

College football teams are typically fairly diverse with all kinds of majors and parents with all kinds of jobs.

He doesn't sound different, but plenty of kids get homesick and don't acclimate to BR I imagine.

No doubt. Add to it trying to learn a new position with LOADS of talent for competition. LA Tech was a great move for him.

Eagles fans are thrilled with Paul Turner. Their Twitter feed makes note of the LSU connection and that he was behind OBJ and Landry. Paul Turner was trending last night based on their response.
