Watching reply. If PS does this all the way through the regular season, does he go no.1 in mlb draft? Its rare to get to watch an ACE like this!

Hurricane Skenes
98-100mph fb
85mph offspeed

My lord !

1st pick will be Crews or Skeens, depending on the needs of the team drafting. If I’m the GM of the team picking 1st, I’d be picking Crews. Everyday players that can affect the game the way he does are rare. He’s Trout good but better than Trout was at the same age.

I love Dylan Crews, he's the most complete hitter this program has ever seen.

But if you have a choice between drafting an all-world hitter or all-world pitcher, you always take the pitcher. The all-world hitter will be a nice consolation prize for the 2nd team picking.

Mike Trout was winning the American League ROY and runner-up for the MVP at Crews’ age

He hit .326 w 30 HRs at 20 years old in the major leagues. Love Crews, but no he isn’t better than Trout was at the same age

It’s a difficult choice the team that picks first will not draft either a perennial Cy Young winner or a perennial legit MVP candidate.

IMO… if Skenes keeps this up through the SEC schedule, he will go ahead of Crewes.

Generally, I would agree. But the MLB draft and the front offices operate a little differently. With slot money and the riskiness of drafting a pitcher, the best pitchers usually don’t go 1-1. It tends to be middle of the diamond position players. But we’ll see what happens. I just hope they stay healthy and go to organizations that are good fits.

When a pitcher is that big, throwing an easy 100mph with run along with two other pitches... they usually go 1-1.

. Crews is amazing and is probably the best player I’ve seen in a LSU uniform but stop Trout was already a MLB all Star at crews age.

Lol. Trout was HOF MVP good in the majors at 20. Trout is a poor comparison for most players including Crews.

Whoever is picking first needs to trade their whole draft 2-30 to the team with the 2nd pick then the first team takes Crews and Skenes at 1, 2.
Case closed!

Crews is #1 simply because pitchers are inherently more risky.

Skenes was compared on the broadcast to Strasburg tonight. How often was he out even at a young age?

Crews is as close to a sure thing as possible. His defense is 100% transferable and his bat is damn near that. He won’t start start running slow nor will he lose is 4 feet vert next year.

He likely won’t be trout but it’s a relatively fair comparison.
