This team needs to stay loose

This is a special group that came back for this. Let them have fun.

It was exactly the thing they needed rather than worrying over being eliminated.

I just hope they stay loose and play better and win some more games. Not be uptight.

Think he has been in the game long enough to want the team loose & having fun, especially from the losers bracket - no one is looking at the hair after the first pitch - at least anyone who cares about the final score

This is a bad take. Dudes ain't gonna be more worried about their hair than the cws. Don't be stupid.

Ok, but Paul set rules and they were broken. There's no dodging that. He has his reasons for why he makes certain rules, and it's his decision. What happens next year when someone is in a slump and wants to do something wild with their hair? "Well Coach, you let Kramer do it last year, why can't I?"

Paul needs a little more hardware to be able to make demands like that. Otherwise, he's just the baseball version of Les Miles.

Incorrect. Players that finally got a hit (Kramer) should now color pubes accordingly.

In an episode of momentary dyslexia I read this as "Paul says all back hair to normal by Friday"

This is so lame. Controlling kids haircuts? Dumb

Coaches try to control more than that. Nephew was a baseball manager when he was a Freshman. He was washing uniforms wearing his hat backwards and an asst. coach called him out over that. I forget who it was as it was a long while back.

Ridiculous as it was midnight and there really was no one around.

I viewed it as power hungry on coach's part.

very true. one may not agree with the rule, but rules are an essential part of ANY organizations success. a standard must be set.

also, some of the younger crowd may not realize this but the LSU baseball team has a reputation in Omaha. the rep is that of being clean cut, wholesome young men ie, the epitome of role models. many folks bring their children to these games and they love their kids being exposed to the LSU team. I can't tell you how many times I have heard this over the years...."LSU has the nicest young men; they were a joy to be around at the hotel and were very respectful". that makes me damn proud to be an alum.

He's not making Hess change. Lange has had a Mohawk with designs on it most of the year. The hat covers almost all of those.

It's just Kramer imo.

NOLA.com article

quote:

Come Thursday, he should be back to normal in another way. LSU coach Paul Mainieri said his senior shortstop will have his neck-length hair dyed back to its usual color before the team gathers for an afternoon practice in advance of a 2 p.m. Friday semifinal against Oregon State.
