Because I would have likely started a thread if he f'd it up, I start this one in the spirit of fairness. I thought it was flawless. Pre 9th it was obvious keep Poche going and if anyone gets in scoring position bring your ASSASSIN K machine Hess. Well done Paul.

People shite on me for suggesting walking Walls, but I think pitching around him was the right move.

Was fantastic. I wanted Hess to start but you can't go wrong there with the bottom Of that lineup. Glad Hess came in for the top.

But it was also the right move before the inning started. Conversely, I would have thought it to be a bad move to bring in Newman.

Hess threw every pitch flawlessly. I didn't see one that missed Pap's glove!

9th inning management has bit CPM's arse in the past.....Not anymore! kinda reminds me in a small way of a baseball equivalent of Lesticles. So nice to gain some momentum instead of digging a whole in TD Ameritrade.

The only questionable call all night was pinch running Slaughter, but that's likely the right move if Smith could bunt the fricking ball. Thought he managed a good game all around.

PM gets roasted no matter what had it not worked out.

It was a tough call to make. Poche pitched well, but he's not a closer. Hess has been on fire recently.

It worked out, so he got it right.
