Dude is a player, but 8 picks is a lot.

he'll be all over Julio Jones this year, watch the difference, last year you could see him struggling to adapt to the speed of the SEC, and Jones is a anomaly as far as frosh WR's, but this year Peterson's confidence level will be thru the roof.

You better hope you're wrong.

Why would anyone throw his way that often to begin with? It would mean his coverage skills are lacking.

The safeties should have many more opportunities on most teams, so I will go out on a limb, and say PP does not lead the SEC in INT's.

I just don't see teams going that often in his direction.

I think it is more likely that they throw toward Peterson's cover less than 30 times this season than 8 picks... either way I'm happy.

His pick against Bama was the nicest play I've seen from a corner on an LSU team in six years.

Julio Jones is the best receiver I've seen in college football in a while. You rarely see a talent like that guy. Watching Jones last year, he looked like a guy who is ready for the NFL the way he dominated everyone against him. I hope that Peterson has a great year but I don't think it will be against Jones.

I don't like it either but I agree with some of y'all. I really don't think anyone can stop Julio if the quarterback is making slightly above average throws. He is just that good.

yes he is, and Peterson did a blanket job on him up until that final "perfect" throw, so if you know he covered him like that last season with some uncertainty, well this season now that he's unleashed, what do you think will happen?

Peterson is the opposite of Jones position wise, but he has the same type of dominance in him.

It's almost impossible in this day and age to stop an elite receiver. Peterson played Jones as well as I could have asked and I'm still not sure if he didn't have that second INT that they said he trapped. Jones had good numbers in that game and made some great plays that you just have to tip your hat to. But Peterson played very well against him.

absolutely TE, keep in mind Julio's catches in that game were all away from Peterson, like when Hawkins and others were coverin him, I marveled at the blanket job Peterson did on him when he was on him.
