Valentine remains focused on his return to Baton Rouge, stating that he is 330 pounds right now. The thought is that Valentine, who is a disruptive force and gifted football player, would immediately push for playing time, and likely an insertion into the LSU starting lineup, assuming he does everything he is asked to do.
He's not playing at 330 under Orgeron. O likes smaller and quick DL's. He'll have to lose about 20 pounds to have any stamina and be a force against the SEC Big Boys.
If he can lose some weight he might be able to get some playing time, but the "Insertion into the Starting lineup" is laughable.
Your reading comprehension is laughable.

He really would be a great much needed addition!!!!

He said, "don't worry about that. I've never gone after a guy and lost him due to grades."
Sounds like Orgeron thinks Valentine can be a serious contributor this year. He's probably staying on him and calling him every night to make sure he's done his homework, etc. A five minute phone call from Orgeron pumping his head every night should get the trick done.

By the time the Pachyderms game comes around we will have a 330lb Valentine to send their way with kisses.......

I really hope this happens. Sounds like TV has set his heart on playing for the Tigers. Love this. You can do it TV!

" not that hard"
The really good ones require two guys to block them most times.

Good for him. I really like how he has stuck with LSU throughout his difficulties.

Well I hope it happens. This could be great for our defense. He is perfect for the 3-4

I don't mean to rain on that parade, but someone explained that LSU is the only div 1 school he is allowed to play for next year. Were he to go anywhere else he'd have to sit out one year.
I don't know if this is true. I'm just relaying what another posted.

If he does indeed wind up on the "University of LSU" campus yet again, what's going to be done to make him go to class, study and make his grades? Who's going to be saddled with the monumental task to see that it gets done?...............
LSU has a fully staffed facility for this that has dealt with struggling athletes before. This isn't the first rodeo

While it seems apparent he's trying to drop even more weight, he's going to be a NT in a 3-4. He'd see the field at his current weight and still eat up space in the middle.

It's been since 07 (Dorsey) and 11 (Logan) that we've had a legit DT that requires 2 people at all times.
I think Devon certainly has the opportunity to join these 2 guys but to have a guy on paper equally as good magaically appear out of thin air is remarkable.
The hype is hard to bear this year. Exactly like 2011.
