Over/Under on bad calls from refs in Bama game.

Ok for anyone who thinks that the SEC wants anything other than a Bama win this weekend, I can name 18million reasons why you are wrong. The payout this year for the BCS-NC game per team will be $18mil "minimum" could be higher. And the reality is if Oregon, FSU & Ohio St. all win out then Bama is the only shot the SEC has of making that game. So having an undefeated team from the SEC this year is becoming more important than in years past in order to make the NC-game.
So no if's, and's or but's about it the SEC officiating crew will be doing everything in it's power to help Bama when they can. How many bad "blatantly" calls that could affect the outcome of the game if called correctly, do you think will be made against LSU?
I think there will be at least 5 calls throughout the game that the refs will call in favor of Bama that will be bad calls, that will help Bama with the outcome of this game.

FIFY
FWIW, let's not start blaming the refs for helping the gumps if they win unless it's blatantly obvious. If we lose, it's because we weren't prepared and didn't show up for this game and give 100% effort. If that fails to happen, you tip your cap and hope we get better down the road. What other teams do or refs do, should not affect what we do.

I was thinking 4. One that is reviewed as well.

Although:
1. this subject's been beaten to death
2. it comes off as whiney
3. i don't think a bad call has ever lost us a game against Bama
4. Miles' record against Bama is a really good indication of the respective team's abilities (Alabama being just slightly better)
although all of the above is true, my blood still boils every time I watch a replay of the Peterson (non) interception.
it's (no)calls like that one that gives this thread topic what little merit it possesses.

It's not so much the bad calls. It's the little things over the course of an entire game that piss me off. Ball spots, and no calls will work against us. Got to keep the cheating subtle.

It's the non-calls that hurt the most. The shite that we can't see on the tele.

This. Is there any fanbase "whinnyer" than LSU? It's embarassing

The payout of the other BCS bowls is 17 million.

LSU will get 1 moderately bad call, maybe two so they can say it went both ways.
Bama will get 4-5 moderately bad and 1 horribly bad call.
That's if it's close though.
If it isn't close Bama will only get 3 moderately bad calls, mostly on first downs plays (holding)

I predict exactly 0 holding calls against the Gumps.

I just hope the crew run by the guy from deliverance isn't on the game.

Pessimistic aren't we????

No excuses we lose, we lose. But if we lose, I just want to lose fair and square without any help from the zebra's which I have no confidence that will happen.
If you don't think that LSU is not only playing against Bama this Saturday and the Zebra's than you really don't have a clue how big business works. And no matter what anyone thinks, college football and the BCS-NC game is big business.

it only takes 1 or 2 to kill LSU's momentum. Bama refs are pro's at that

If you are already worrying about the refs. You have a loser mentalilty. If ANYTHING the NCAA wants LSU to WIN. They want someone other than an SEC team in the title game.

Everyone knows you have to beat both bama and the refs. Its always been that way. Worse now that $abun is there.
Now, especially since bama is the only one left in the SEC that can make the big game, it will be even worse if the game is close.

It's the SEC office, not the NCAA, who selects the refs for the game.

Wow you are one stupid m-fer!!!!
This has nothing to do with the NCAA, the NCAA does not appoint the ref's the SEC appoints the officiating crew, are you really that stupid???
The SEC will appoint and officiating crew and that crew will understand the importance of an undefeated SEC team this year. Has nothing to do with anything other than having an undefeated team going to the BCS_NC game and the 18million reasons why they will want it that way. If the roles were reversed and it was a 2-loss Bama team playing #1 undefeated LSU, believe me the zebra's would be helping us.

That is the whole point, LSU is seriously going to have to dominate Bama in this game to win. Because if it is close, the no calls and the bad calls are going to make a difference.
Wish it wasn't that way, but it is what it is. I understand it, the best thing for the SEC is for Bama to go undefeated and if they can influence that in anyway, like I said, they have 18million reasons to try.
