Hey everyone. WVU fan here. My wife and I are making our first trip to Baton Rouge for the game on Saturday. I thought this might be a good place to get some food recommendations? Also - where’s the best place to park? Are there any buses to the stadium? Any other tips to get the full experience?

Thanks in advance. Can’t wait to experience Saturday night in Death Valley! We will be cheering on the Tigers.

Ruffinos, Walton’s, Chimes

Wear your WVa gear. Prepare to get there before 8 to park. Look at LSUsports.net for parking around campus.

Just to the right of the stadium, The Quad, is where ESPN Gameday will setup.

Pasttime has good food and they run buses to/from the stadium several times starting I think at 3 pm. Google it and get directions as well as a brief history of the place. It’s been there 100 years and still going strong.

Walk around in WV gear as others have said. You’ll take some ribbing but plenty of folks will offer some grub and booze while they give you a hard time.

Eat at the chimes either the Friday before or the sunday after. It's a can't miss meal but it's hell trying to eat there on gameday

Get there before noon...I say someone will see you in the WVU gear and welcome you to their tailgate and offer you plenty of food for lunch...if youd rather go to a place and sit and eat I say Walk Ons or Chimes. Make sure you check out Mike's Tiger cage and be on the bottom of Victory Hill outside the stadium and the Pmac when the team and band March in...defiently need to see that! If I see a guy wondering around in WVU gear I'll flag you down ha! Enjoy and GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Are you sure you want to come in for the game?

LSU-Alabama matchups at night in Tiger Stadium are insane.
Both teams in the top 3. GameDay will be on campus too.

It will spoil every football game you go to for the rest of your life.
Whoever you're rooting for, win or lose, nothing will live up to the experience in this type of environment.

If you do not want to be their all day, they have shuttle buses that start running three hours before game time, that you can catch at several locations.
I think it is called Touch Down Express but not sure. You can google if interested. Enjoy

It all depends a lot on where you are staying. Regardless, your best bet is to park downtown and take a shuttle to the game around noon so you'll have time to see/do everything everyone here is suggesting.

And plan on going to the Chute. It's cool as hell.

Go visit Mikes cage on campus and then go eat at Chimes Friday before the game (get there for an earlier dinner). Hang out at the bar youll prob meet tailgate friends there

Get to campus really early (as soon as you can) with a WVU hat or shirt on. Walk around campus and tell people you are visiting for the game and ask them what they are cooking. Seriously, don’t be afraid to walk just walk up to tailgates. Most will offer you food and drink (wanting to show off their cooking for you lol)

Game Day is setting up in the quad. From there you can go to the parade grounds and the Indian Mounds. Just walk around the tailgates.

Go line up to watch the team march down victory hill.

Be in your seat for pre-game.

You can't post telling the guy not to make a mistake, and then give him advise that is a mistake.

12 or 1 is WAYYYY too late to arrive for this game.

Pace yourself. It’s a long haul on a night game.

Def do this. It's really cool. Once the band passes you can then walk down the hill too toward the stadium.

Go eat at Chimes. I like Parrains and Louisiana Lagniappe also.
