Now that the deadline to enter the Draft has passed we are going to start seeing more Mock Drafts.

Out of all the players that declared… who do you think gets drafted? Any one besides BJ sneaks into the first round?

Boutte would have to absolutely crush the combine and pro day to get back into the first round.

If Mekhai Garner runs a good 40, I wouldn't be shocked to see him come off the board late first/early second.

My guess is that Boutte will in fact have a good pro day. He was a blue chip level sprinter in high school, so I wouldn't be surprised with him running a 4.3 low. He has good film. He's going to have to answer to some of his decisions though.

His agent convinced him he's still a first-round pick. There could be a run on WRs in the back half of the first. They say it only takes one team to fall in love with you.

This assumes he puts up good times at the combine and pro day.

I don't think anyone outside of BJ has a shot at a first round selection. And BJ isn't a lock to be a first rounder either.

If Boutte shows out at combine and pro day he could easily make it into 1st rnd. If film is going to be very attractive even with the lack of production. He blocked his arse off on every running play and when Daniels took off. Actually all our wrs blocked their arse off. Not just Boutte... but it helps to squash the narrative that he checked out.

That’s how I see it too. He was open a lot but also was just off all year. If he runs lightning fast though he could jump up. Sorta a weak class.

It would have to be a really great 40 that I dont See him running to get into the 1st hut 2nd is douable. Jalen Collins was in the second and that’s in my mind who he reminds me of.

If BJ was 15lbs heavier he would be a top 10 lock. I really think his 3 cone and 40 time will reveal how high he goes. If he smashes those he is a lock for 1st rd.

If mekhi is really 217lbs I could see teams trying to move him to safety. I just don't see him playing cb on a team that's heavy on man coverage. He is huge for a cb

Boutte- Roy- Ojulari could go in 1st, but I don’t think any of them will. Boutte has best shot I think.

The three DBs are the next up, I think a pair could go as high as early 2nd if they workout well.

I hope he shows out and gets drafted in the first round. Very curious to see where he ends up.

theathletic.com has him at #35 in their mock draft from today. In fact, he's the only LSU player they have in the first two rounds.

correct.. i think BJ is late 2nd at best ... even he should have come back.. then you would have had Maason, BJ and Perkins... someone would be freed up and getting some serious sack numbers and raised their draft stock... BJ could have taken out an insurance contract and prob could have gotten good NIL money... They all should have returned.. Boutte is the only one i wasnt worried about b/c the WR room is loaded...

Nah. As long as he doesn't have any legal issues or drug-related team suspensions, NFL teams aren't going to beat him up because he didn't want to go to class or was indecisive about staying or leaving.

Poor Sunbelt Billy couldn't even get this guy to come play for him at Florida. He was a steal for LSU.

Who in their right mind would take Boutte in the first round? His best season was 3 years ago and he had a major injury in 2021.

Boutte is your classic 3rd-4th round pick, someone supremely talented that didn't produce to his talent level for one reason or another.

I think Boutte will succeed in NFL, but a GM putting his job on the line to draft him in the first round? I don't see that

If you quit before the season was over and didn't make the Cheez-It bowl, you don't deserve to be drafted. Plus, and possibly most importantly, you missed out on a lot of fun.

I don't agree that he SHOULD have come back. I think either decision in his case is correct. But if he did come back our defensive line would have been scary good.

If Boutte shows out in his interviews, combine, and pro day, he will definitely get picked up late first. Telling you now, his tape prior to 2022 don't lie. Hell even this year, when he was on, he was on. I just feel like he had a lot of other stuff going on outside of the football field that threw his focus off. Dropped passes that hit him right in the hands, not fighting hard enough for TDs at the goal line. People think it was Daniels, but go watch his prior seasons' tape. He was never this deep ball guy, he was always a "catch it and make something happen in the open field" type of WR.

Dude will be a first round pick in the 20s range.

He doesn’t care. He had his fun in the bedroom.
