Our transition defense was poor but UGA's guards were lightning fast.

Not making excuses for the lackadaisical transition defense but those two dudes were as quick/fast as I've seen. Luckily they weren't able to complete the miracle comeback after our team and coach quit with a couple minutes left.

I was actually surprised because blowing leads had been common except this year it seems we have finished games better and smarter.

This seems to be the recurring theme. The Kentucky game is the only one that really stands out to me that they played good defensively

You think Georgia's are fast wait till Saturday.

The recurring theme in LSU basketball performance this year is consistently inconsistent play. They cannot maintain offensive and defensive intensity for 20 mins per half.

This and only this. Anyone expecting us to hang with Oklahoma Saturday has not watched Oklahoma play. If we keep it close I'll be happy. Just don't want to get embarrassed on national t.v. in a game that ESPN is hyping big time. Hope we win, pray we keep it close.

The ease with which Georgia drove to the basket, over and over and over, was alarming.

Our team is pretty average.

Whenever we build up any sort of lead we get very lazy on defense, that goes on coaching. We hit a big dunk or big 3 to go up by 7-10 points and watch the other team run down the court for a layup uncontested.

Alabama game?

You know, when we held them to 1 field goal in the last 5 minutes and that field goal was a miracle 3 as the shot clock expired

I'm not sure how either team was supposed to play defense with the way this game was called. Victor literally got his 4th contact without moving and Gray got a foul when he avoided all contact

With the fouls were being called every time someone took a breath, it's easy to see why some drives went uncontested. Couple that with bad free throw shooting and UGA being able to foul before we inbounded each possession, it's easy to see how things transpired. UGA was scrappy at the end and had the perfect storm coming together.

As much as I was disappointed in the apparent lack of effort, LSU was gassed at the one minute mark and JJ needed to call a TO!

These things simply can't happen against teams with great guards.

I'm not sure why we can't all just agree that the officiating turned what was a basketball game at the tip into a disjointed free throw fest. That only got worse after Mark Leslie Fox wouldn't shut the frick up and intimidated the officials.
