Lol. Had an oldtimer Bama fan tell me last night that LSU couldnt win in Ttown. I told him our recent record there is better than in BR. He walked away.

CSB -

Actually, it really is. I love a story like that. I wasn't there, so have no clue if the dude was douche nozzle or not, but assuming he was, and told you about the ol' LSU Bama home field advantage, you get to then ask him "sssooooo, you're another one of these folks that just bought the shirt at Wal Mart right? Must not have actually gone to school there or followed them very long, huh?"

However they do it - i'll give them credit - they do DO it (guess it's just winning that much) - But Bama seems to have stronger out of state support from people with the weakest of affiliations - if any affiliation at all - than anyone I've ever seen.

Freakin NE La, random week day, ride around, you'll see 6 or 8 of those big red A's somewhere.

Homefield advantage in the series is flipped going back almost 40 years - damned near 50 just for us - I think we lost 14 or 15 straight at home after the 1969 game.

(ETA: For the record, I'm damned near 50 and I've watched LSU beat Alabama live, in person exactly 2 times.)

We lost in 2013, but won in 2011.

So we've lost the last ONE.

In regards to that record though, here's some other interesting tidbits that go the same way.

Think I saw where Coker has thrown all 6 of his pics at home.

The "road team doing better" deal only applies to "when Alabama is at home." Personally, I don't put much stock in trends, but chit, facts are facts. Our team seemingly just flat out plays better over there.

I've GOT to think have Steele can only help us.

Harris has shown the ability to throw the football pretty much all over the field. He just hasn't had to do that. Getting film of the LSU passing attack is like getting film of bigfoot. Basically, other than Fournette in the A gap - sometimes we're a little trick and run the B - preparing for LSU is pretty tough.

Breaks. Calls. Blown assignments. Good Lawd, where to begin. Frick, we are just due a damn break with them.

This thread is not about the overall series, it's about games in the series played in the state of Alabama. So in that regard, we lost the last game in Alabama (2013) but won the one before that (2011).

Haha. Funny you mention Walmarks b/c he's a greeter at the store in the Woodlands. Spots me wearing an LSU shirt and engages. My guess is his son or daughter lives in the Woodlands and this is a job of sorts to keep him busy. Nice gentleman, not a douche, but an overconfident Bama fan.

Ha...that sucks. I've been to Bryant-Denny three times and have never seen us lose there.

It's weird how they've owned LSU in Tiger Stadium, but LSU has won over there so many times.
