Damn, folks. We can rip a defense in so many ways with so many weapons. It sure is fun to watch.

It really is. Cam Cameron is a godsend. Everyone knows what's going on. We have the horses to run. Defenses have to pull more into the box and Mett burns em. I hope we get by the cheaters, and i think we have a great chance.

I love it how Florida just knew we would throw 25 times last week and they were just waiting to INT a few, annnnd we just ran the ball right at them all game. Was actually kind of comical how we diced up the #2 ranked defense in the nation with Jeremy Hill and Kenny Hilliard...

I believe it will be almost as good next year. The QB will not have that gun, but he'll be able to punish man coverage by running. Replacing OBJ and Landry will be tough, but if one of Diarse, Dural and Spears steps up, I think we'll be ok, because Quinn will probably be ready to make a strong contribution as a freshman. And the oline? They'll be even better!

Either way it was a great gameplan that showed that we can come at you any way we want, we arent just one dimensional. We will see Mett back on track like he never missed a beat this week.... IN CAM WE TRUST

Would be SICK! I wouldnt count out Q Leslie being a big time go to guy next season either. Especially if he puts on a few LBs

Someone explained it in this very thread! You don't run an offense in a vacuum. The defensive strategy pushes you to an offensive strategy. If we'd done as you suggested we'd have lost that game with a bunch of turnovers and sacks.

You're going to be very disappointed today, too. The only way Ole Miss can win is with a bunch of turnovers or our defense gets slaughtered. OM will bring a lot of guys to the los to support their depleted front seven. LSU will continue to run against it. That will produce some stops by OM, but some long runs by JH, also. Miles will intelligently play it safe unless our D is a sieve. If so, he'll unleash the passing game.

Final stats: 45 rushes for 280 yards; Mett 12 of 17 for 230.

You are correct, a good OC will devise his strategy off of what the defense is doing. Florida played seven in the box, dropped everyone else back in coverage, and got beaten on the ground. No need to pass at that point. This week its likely that Ole Miss plays to stop the run, giving mett and the receivers opportunities this game. That's is the balance this team has always needed, and wanted.

This.
Very well thought-out game plan.
Such a complete paradox to OC Meathead last year.
