Just want more fans to care about our team. They work their arse off, appear to have tons of potential including a tournament run, and they deserve to have more support.
Will you update us on the team from Orlando this weekend?

I care about them, I just told someone an hour ago that I was excited about the basketball game tomorrow night.

I just like baseball better.

Just relax. I don't give a shite about college baseball, but LSU has consistently won big over the last 20+ years. If the basketball program can attain some consistency (i.e. multiple NCAA tournaments in a row) you'll see basketball climb back to being the #2 sport at LSU. You gotta produce on the court if you want the interest of casual fans. That's just the way it is, not just at LSU.

This is spot on. Except I love baseball.

In the southeastern part of the US baseball is very popular. Maybe due to climate? It's more popular than basketball in some areas in the southeast. Also most people just aren't crazy about basketball in Louisiana. If LSU baseketball wins they will follow to some degree. If they lose most don't care they just stop paying attention. If LSU baseball doesn't win they demand a coaching change. They demand excellence out of baseball. Basketball is just not important to people. You can't force them to care. I am still shocked we pay the women's basketball coach in the same neighborhood as Maineiri.

You can't get overly excited about college basketball when your team has been average at best over the past couple of years and when you do get great talent they have the option of leaving after one year.

LSU fans just aren't that big into basketball. Just accept that and enjoy it for yourself.

These supports hoops way more than baseball and it isn't even close. Not sure about Miami, ASU, UT, or Georgia. UT was definitely a basketball school before a baseball until Barnes started tanking the program.

Lol at that list.haha if not sarcastic then full retard mode has beebn reached

And whoever said baseball has more strategy then basketball made me lol. College baseball has 0 strategy and isn't even real baseball since it has a dh.

A good year this year and basketball will leave baseball far behind. It will be cool to like bball again and people will see how fun the pmac can be. Baseball as a sport just can't touch basketball when its going.
Everytime basketball is ready to take #2 for good bball shits ourselves. Jj is changing that with another great class coming. We will soon have people swear they were there during the lean years

I feel like I've done my part this year in buying 4 season tickets for the first time.. Should be fun but like like many.. It's still football season and baseball is just more important to most down here.. Once the new year rolls around basketball will have 3-4 months to garner more relevance within the lsu community.

Not every major school is going to look at all sports the same.

Every school listed when their team is actually good will pack their gyms. When baseball 99% od schools won't sell out 3000 seat baseball fields

Seriously no strategy?

Just because there is a DH doesn't mean it's not real baseball, in fact that makes in more interesting on the college level because you have a dedicated position in the batting order for another hitter.

College baseball and baseball in general has tons of strategy.

The game of baseball is totally devoted to strategy.

Please tell me how it is not strategy based?

Baseball actual attendance stinks during vad years at lsu. Lsu proves it will follow a winner better than anyone. Its cool to win.
When bball isn't winning people down here make racist remarks and blow it off until winner plays

Two steps to the left

Pitch

Wait 90 seconds. .2 steps back.

Pitch

Repeat

It may have strategy but when you have 5 min before every decision its not rocket science

That's absolute bullshite

For instance...

if you are a batter and a pitcher is up in the count 0-2, what pitch would you expect?

Does the pitcher have a nice change up, does his arm angle change with the pitch? Is his curveball more of a 12-6 or a slurve.

Does he like to throw a slider inside or outside, depending on how I reacted on the previous pitch before.

Is he the pitch falling off the the left or right of the mound, is there a possibility I can lay down a bunt.

If base runners are on 1st and 2nd with less than 2 outs, should I bunt or should I hit n run?

I mean there are so many scenarios that happen in baseball, and most of the time you have only a split second to make a decision (i.e. batting)

Baseball field seats 6,756. 32 games this season at UFCU Disch-Falk Field, a total of 185,400 fans came to watch the Longhorns for an average of 5,793 fans per game. Finished 6th nationally for attendance.

Erwin Center holds 16,734. haven't found any attendance figures for basketball, but doubt more than 185k went to games
