Be honest

Which were you more excited about on the day of the hire?

It may turn out well, but LSU hiring Orgeron might be the low point in LSU sports since, I don't know, the Lester Earl debacle?

You better hope O makes it happen because Football makes all the money and Basketball is down on the list.

O because I know he truly cares about LSU. He's willing to get his assistants as much money as him to make the program better.

Wade, no doubt.

Coach O has my support, but you can't compare the clusterfrick of his hiring on a Saturday morning after Thanksgiving to the energy of the press conference on Wednesday.

Why can't I be excited about both? I love what I have seen from Orgeron. All I have seen from Wade is a press conference, but I am encouraged. Are we pitting one against the other? Typical LSU mindset.

I agree with you, but the question was how you felt on the day of the hire.

I admit, I feel 100x better about the direction of the football program under Coach O now than I did at the end of November.

It's called liking a coaching hire that was handled properly.

Wade, 100%.

Coaching change as it should be done- season plays out, coach let go right afterwards (but not during the season), new hire announced within a couple of days, with very little public drama during the interim about potential hires. New hire is a bright and energetic young guy with lots of potential.

As compared to the Miles/Alleva/Orgeron fiasco.

I think he cares about being a HC again.

Except he didn't get either as much as him. And both are more valuable than him.

Well the ultimate question is who will we be more excited about in 4 years?

Who gives a rats arse about which was more popular day one?!

I think the results will be positive for both and both have the drive and leadership quality to take us places we haven't seen in a while. HTTDB
