The mayor is a city official whose authority ends at the city limits.
The DA is a parish official. They mayor can't do shite about him.

No doubt just Coach O doing some PR work, perhaps asking the mayor to help in recruiting, i.e. talk to the HC at West Monroe.

Mayor Jamie Mayo was a pretty good basketball player I think at Bastrop High and later at Northeast LA University, now ULM. Played with Calvin Natt I think.
