In 2013, Ed Orgeron took over the HC duties at USC.

He came in at 3-2, on the last week of September. He was fortunate to come in on a bye week, a benefit he had there that he won't have here.

Before O took over, the 3 wins and 2 losses werent to any real powerhouses. They beat Hawaii, BC and Utah State. They lost to Washington State and Ariz State.

Once he took over, the Trojans went on to a 6-2 record. This included a win over highly ranked Stanford. Losses were ND and UCLA (which apparently was an embarrassing loss, guess they werent very good that year). That really hurt his chances at getting the job.

Another thing to consider is that USC was on probation, and they weren't the super talented team that USC usually is.

He was a total joke as a head coach at Ole Miss. I do think he has matured since then. In addition, there are a lot of skeletons in his closet too; I do not think these will be overlooked

Any added information is appreciated. I only remember so much, and I didn't dig too deep.

Obviously, LSU has a lot of talent. At least he is coming in against Mizzou and not Florida or Ole Miss. If he can get through Mizzou, and then Florida somehow, he will have a Southern Miss week to get ready for Ole Miss and the big month of November.

Go get em O! I believe!!

You say that like a person experience as a HC isn't the best way to judge them as a head coach.

But apparently one win over Stanford is.
