Cut it out with this “death threat” nonsense.
I get that the comment about the fishing hole was unprofessional, but it was a meaningless jab that goes along with his “good ole boy” persona. People are acting like it was a legitimate death threat. It was clearly a joke.
Plenty of reasons to dislike the guy both on and off the field. Let’s not invent shite to be mad about.

100% agree. People blowing it out of proportion to try to get him fired faster and because they hate him. This board quality is declining fast.

It’s not about what he said, it’s about being oblivious to the position he’s in. JBoy was CLEARLY bating him and he just took it without a second thought. Not only that, Chris Blair tried to pull him out of it and he STILL fricking took it! His seat is hotter than hell and he still cannot just shut the frick up and try to right the ship. He has to try and be the badass.

I disagree on him “taking the bait”. O didn’t seem upset at all, he was just throwing it back at him. If he had lost his composure, THAT would have been “taking the bait”
I agree he’s oblivious to his position, but my point was that he wasn’t legitimately “threatening to murder a man” and to think otherwise is just foolish.

By itself, this is not too bad. Once you add in the fact that he’s already threatened a UCLA fan with violence and the whole thing about confronting a guy and his kids at a camp then this is more of an issue because it’s happening more and more and isn’t a good look for the university. And it wouldn’t be acceptable if we were winning either. But now you add this embarrassment on top of our team sucking arse and people are tired of this shite.

Of course, it was hyperbole. But when was the last time a sitting SEC head coach told a fan on air they'd drop them in a fishing hole?
