Orgeron as a 3-4 Defensive Line coach.

Does anyone know how easy the transition is for the defensive line coach? What other schools have run a 3-4 with Orgeron as the DL coach? I don't doubt him but I also don't know enough about football coaching as to how much this should affect us.

USC ran it IIRC. Orgeron is seasoned enough to deal. We are beastly . I know offseason makes us all wonder, but im not concerned there. More with OL, but we will probably be fine there as well.

I think he often had 3 down lineman with multiple pass rushers from the lb position I think.. although I'm not sure.

Considering his background, Orgeron shouldn't have any problem teaching a 2-gap scheme

3-4 DE is VERY similar to a 4-3 DT. Not exactly, but pretty damn close.

The 3-4 at LSU goes back to Coach Jerry Stovall. Remember these guys Elko, Dardar, and Marshall the LSU Defensive Line?

Coach O likes and attacking defense. That what aranda brings. They are a match made in heaven. Here's to hoping we get them for together for 2 seasons
