Kelly and Fisher are home run hires. There are other good coaches out there but I'd question hiring anyone other than these two or a couple others mentioned if it requires $15M to buy out Coach Miles.

I think Alleva would be nuts to shell out that kind of money without having a HR hire locked up.

The Chip Kelly back to CFB talk really needs to die down. The dude isn't getting fired this year.

I don't necessarily mind letting go of Les if there is a home-run hire, but why the frick would anyone want Chip anywhere near this team?

Chip Kelly wins too much everywhere he's ever been. Don't want. Some of the posters here are too funny. If you want to hit a homerun, hiring Chip Kelly would make Alleva roided up Barry Bonds.

He made it to the Natty with a team of 3 stars and came pretty close to beating the best Auburn team of all time. He went to 4 straight BCS bowls.

If someone grabs Michael Dyer, he wins a national championship.

Why do you and so many other people feel compelled to compare the future hire to what Miles did rather than what Miles would do if he remained the coach?

When I'm looking at who should coach the team the next 5-8 years, It doesn't matter nearly as much what someone did from 2005-2015 as it does what someone is able to from this point forward.

if you have more confidence in what Miles can do at this point than what Kelly can do right now, you're basing it purely on emotion.
