A safety leading in tackles isnt always a good thing.

It depends on the situation. If he comes DOWN and makes the tackle great. But if he makes the tackle ten yards up the field then there's a problem.

well he doesn't do well at safety. its more than just the arky game. he played horrible vs ole miss.

im fine with moving him to linebacker

His angles are pretty bad..he let some big plays go last year especially on that bama game where pp7 cramped up...

I dont have any problem for him battling out at safety but I really think we will see Loston back there and move him to LB

That wasn't even Hatcher on Jones. That was Brandon Taylor.

Why would anyone want to piss away a guy like Hatcher? You don't just quit on him. You work with him, teach him, raise him, and turn him into a starter. He should be a LB. He stops the run well. I like him.

As long as the hatcher experiment to work with him, teach him, etc...is not as a safety...I think everyone agrees that maybe he should get a look at LB, but he is a liabiity at safety after a long look/chance there. Sorry to say that cause I am sure he is a great guy and all, but as a pure football player, he is so poor at pass coverage/instincts that there is just no sense for him nor LSU to put him in the DBackfield.

Like I said, if he fails at DB, move him.

That would not reflect badly on the safety....that would reflect badly on Dline and Lbackers!

Hatcher likes to take his own players out of the game. I really dont think he was taught the right way to make a tackle. He NEVER wraps up. He is too worried about making a big hit instead of a sure tackle

He shouldn't be anywhere close to the field on 4th and inches...
