After halftime the seats in the stands were almost empty. How about as morons leave let people in for free. At least you could make more money on food and a pan of the stadium wouldn't be so embarrasing.

This is discussed after every game. It's always going to happen against sub par ooc opponents. Everyone might as well get used to it. People act like LSU is the only team that has their stadium start emptying out against a team that has no chance to win whatsoever. It happens all around college football. People lose interest if it isn't a big game and that's just the way it is.

There were a lot of people with children last night. I can understand leaving at halftime.

You should stop letting other fans departure, hurt your feelings...LOL
NO-ONE will want to line up and file into a blow-out of a game...AFTER halftime !

UF looked just as bad when they panned over the Swamp, in OT with a conference opponent. It's just how it is now.

Ok, but where are all these thousands of fans going to come from?

I sat and watched closely groups leaving the stadium starting at halftime in my section. I sit in 103. There are some real old Tigers in my area and I mean old.... 4 older Tiger groups left at half and then a stream continually until I left with 3 minutes left in 4th quarter.

Its not only students, young adults with kids... Its basically everyone. I also saw the Fla game in OT. At least 35% of the stadium was empty at the beginning of the 1st OT.

I don't know the solution. It will probably take several options being continually tried until the best overall recipe is found.

i'm the minority but, I much prefer day games. I enjoy going back to the tailgate after the game and cooking supper while watching the night games on tv.

that's if we win.....of course.

First of I am not getting my feeling hurt.
Second more money for more food and drink sold.
Third it would help with crowd noise and would not look so bad to the team and the TV audience.
Fourth. 10-0 is not a half time blow out.

I was surprised how many people left when it was 10-0. I have my kids with me and we stay until 00:00 is on the clock. They know this upfront and can't complain that they want to leave. Parents need to parent!

People that only go in for free won't help concession sales.

Have you thought about the logistics of this...I doubt it

You know what kind of crowd you'd get letting people in for free?

I stayed until the end and I can see clearly now why people jump out of their seats to leave early. It took us over 2 hours to get off campus. This was shocking considering this was against ULM and that 1/2 the stadium had already cleared out at halftime. I dread seeing how bad it is going to be next weekend.

This will be a problem for as long as the traffic flow off campus is a total cluster F after games. Thus it will always be an issue.

This. The guy behind me brought 8 kids to celebrate his son's bday. Beyond the long list of reasons we can give these kinds of games give the casual fan a chance at an affordable price.

Don't worry. Next weeks crowd will be the largest ever in Tiger Stadium.

another reason why I like day games. going back to the tailgate to fix another hi-ball is so pleasurable to me.

Maybe have a ban on tailgating at kickoff. Tailgating can be allowed again with 5 minutes left in the game. Have security patrol the area and anyone standing around having a better time eating and boozing up during that time will be issued a $25.00 fine. That would keep some in the stands longer maybe. Ha! Ha!
