This game will be tough and it always is.

Except when it isn't.

9 of the past 15 games were decided by 7 points or less.

And of the other years with bigger margins of victory, we've won 4 and they've won 2.

Going back 10 years, we lead the series 6-4.

Going back 20 years, we lead the series 12-8.

So yes, we have an edge overall, but Ole Miss is rarely a guaranteed win.

#117 in the country against the run. If LSU can't get the inside running game going against this OM group, it's not going to happen this season.

This is one of the worst Ole Miss Teams we've played in recent history

you must not be very old. this series is pretty close and most years ole miss has had a bad team (the further one got from the 60's).

the thing is, I guess people forgot to tell the ole miss players they sucked because they give us hell the majority of the time.

Yea I'm with you on this here's why. First off Ogeron tends to want to go into a shell offensively for road games which means we'll try to pound them first and we simply aren't good at it, if a home SEC teams defense gets some confidence plus home crowd energy they can play better than they are. We saw it happen at State this year and so again he has to trust Canada and let him take the reigns off. As far as Ole Miss offense we had the same questions last season with the big matchup being Adams vs Ingram and Adams dominated. This year it'll be Paterson and the WRs vs our DBs and I'm guessing White shadowing Paterson trying to contain his mobility and playmaking skills outside the pocket. I'm confident in that matchup for us so it's going to come down to our offense hopefully being able to play the way they did in the first half vs Florida and the last 3 quarters vs Auburn. This season is getting really exciting especially when you think about what we thought it was gonna be following the Troy disaster.

All the bragging everyone been doing over our secondary from last week will see if it’s for real Saturday.
