Back up QBs. Just because our QB will be gone this year doesn't mean we need to put a fresh as frick guy in.

Stop playing safe after a lead
Get a decent/big lead
Give back ups more time
???
Championship

We don't need players getting their feet wet when it's time for them to start. Not saying we need a 2 QB system but we need to get them a little bit of experience BEFORE they are the starter.

Hopefully our starting unit will be good enough for us to get some big leads

That's sort of the key here

Aside from A&m, Bama, UGA and Florida, all of our opponents have inferior talent, including offense. There's no reason there should be so many close games to the rest of the teams on our schedule.

I'm not saying rivers needs to be playing half of our games, but he needs to be getting more than a few handoffs on the last drive of the weak teams on the schedule.

Dude wake up. We play in the SEC. Ole Miss will be a tough contest on the road. I love how some people on here say we could lose 5-6 games this year and then we have some who think 8 games won't even be close. Lets pump the breaks a bit.

How are you ruling out Ole Miss, Auburn, Arky, and State, all of which played us close a shite this year?! Two of them have upgraded coaches and another is recruiting well.

I give you ole miss but state, arky and auburn aren't at our level. Yeah they played us close. That's the problem.
Eta: no, I won't give you ole miss. Their recruiting class this year has no bearing on their play last year.

Miles will get a 14 point lead and squat on it like the game is over. Just because they play us close doesnt mean they are on our level.

The rant kills me sometimes. We shouldn't lose to these teams bc they're so far Beneith us but we shouldn't pull away bc they are so close to us. Which is it?

The fact of the matter is, yeah, it's the SEC. No school in the SEC recruits like Alabama and LSU year in year out. The games shouldn't be as close as they are.

For people who claim that we are neck and neck with Bama, they don't have problems loading points on inferior teams.

We can win games without beating everyone into submission and needing to bring our backup QB in.

There is definitely middle ground here.

Whoever. This isn't about rivers getting more time. It's about whoever Is second string at the time getting more reps before they're thrown into the wolves.

Look, I hate when rantards compare us to Bama about every little thing but im gonna have to do that here.

I'm aware that saban gives his QBs an easy task. But his QBs are seeing the field before its their time. They aren't just thrown into the thick of it with little to no experience like our guys are. That's the point in trying to make. They DO beat their teams into submission so their backups CAN see the field more.

I'm not saying run up the score on everyone, but it's okay to win by more than a few points more than a couple times a year. Get your backups experience.

I think you're spinning for an argument and latching on to the small picture.

Most people do not compare us to Bama, or N S, but when someone gives their opinion on N S or Bama it does not mean they are comparing us, just stating the obvious.
He is a good recruiter and game day coach, but I think except for a few things we match up well.

Of course match up well. These two team are the only ones who match up as well. Not saying no team is near lsu or Bama but these two teams are the gold standard recently.

The difference is, one likes to squat on a lead and the other like to get the younger guys experience.

On this forum, yes, they do.

Not spinning for an argument at all. This is the Rant. Just talking sports bro.

AJ McCarron sure was.

All I am saying is that you can't always get your backup experience. We did get our backup experience in the early part of 2011. When JJ came back Mett was the third string QB. You don't often get your third QB meaningful experience in games. Yes I realize you are talking about the backup, but the backup played throughout 2011.

My only point was you don't always have the ability to just destroy teams. Bama had that luxury last year like we did in 2011. Hopefully we can have that luxury again, but in the SEC that is tough to do.
