Is that at least our freshmen are looking good according to Coach
Posted on 8/6/17 at 10:31 am to saturncube21
They are getting good reps

Deculus, Ingram and Charles will be studs!

Don't forget Cushenberry

Yep it's going to set up for a strong foundation to build upon. Gotta have guys ahead of them showing what hard work is. We need to have some dogs on our lines both offense and defense. I think we will have that very soon. GT

Didn't we say this about the last 5 guy that just transferred? We got a big problem..... Games won or lost in the trinches???? Hope we stay healthy or add an L or 2 to your predictions.......

yep...I hate to see us with so little depth, but some of this may be due to the young guys climbing the depth chart faster than expected.

We only have 11 guys, it isn't like they have very far to climb to get into the two deep.

This is exactly right. The guys coming in just out worked and out performed the guys ahead of them. They couldn't handle the competition. You don't want that on your team anyway. You don't want guys who are lazy in the classroom either. That's not what LSU is about or needs especially for our lines.
We need smart, tough, strong, leaders out there willing to do what ever is necessary for the ultimate team goal. If that is starting one year then playing backup to a better athlete the next well then that's what you do. All while still giving 110% effort in everything you do.
Herron is a great example. Kid was a 5* coming out of highschool and was passed up by others but he never quit, despite having trouble in the classroom. I think it pays off for him big this year.

It'll be a painful but core building year.
The key is bringing in solid value kids. Not prima donas. Austin is going to be VERY special.

Well we don't have much ahead of them because all these guys made them quit lmao. You're a great example of what LSU doesn't need.

You may want to check the timing of the transfers and the arrival of the freshmen. It doesn't tell the story you think it does.

Yes, it has become apparent a large portion of our fan base has no interest in discussing facts or reality.

Honestly, we need to remember that 99% of teams are also screwed if 2-3 of their starting OLine go down.
Whether you have 11 or 20 OLinemen on the roster, ideally you'll have 5 start and play all significant snaps all season.
Most teams aren't a full 2 deep of quality starters on the OLine. OLines are more about cohesiveness than really any other position.

Willie Allen
This was right before the summer after spring workouts. That's just one. I'm not going to look up everyone but timing seems right to me.

June 4th, thanks for providing an example of the facts I previously mentioned and something that contradicts the story you made up.
ETA: The only freshman on campus for Spring was Deculus. Two other transfers were in December. Teuhema and Stewart were the only ones late enough in the Summer to fit the time frame you're talking about and neither of those had anything to do with competition.

Here's another and it plainly says he saw the writing on the wall. Didn't want to compete. Herron hasn't started yet and could have easily left the program for the same reasons but he didn't. Maybe because he isn't afraid to compete or do what's best for LSU at that time.

Ok if you think this has nothing to do with others coming in taking his spot or him having trouble with academics combined with football then idk what to tell you smart guy.

That was from last August and doesn't have anything to do with the numbers we've been talking about. It would be even more absurd from the angle you're trying to push anyway.
