One of the worst hitting teams in my lifetime.

I can't remember watching LSU teams struggle this much for base runners. We have a bunch of small ball guys that keep trying to go yard every at bat. No identity and zero plate discipline. I'll watch every game, make as many at the box as possible and support them the rest of the way but this team is no where near their #8 ranking.

LSU - Doing less with more since 05.

Some jackass is downvoting all the hitting threads. Does Gibbs read TD?

I don't understand why they don't work the count. Make the pitcher work. Way too many bad at bats.

Outside of Rhymes and Katz, I'd say 2012 was worse than this squad at the plate.

Most wins of any program during that span.

So we've won more games than anyone but only have 1 national title? Almost seems like they're underachieving.

Our .300 hitters choke, A&M's .189 hitters hit game winning, three run homers.
Going into the bottoms of the 9th, I had zero confidence that we would tie it up.

Im not an Athletic director. I don't scour the country for potential baseball coaches. I'm very aware of the results though. I don't think Paul should be fired yet but there is no denying that this team is too talented to lose this many games so far.

Les Miles won a bunch of games, just couldn't bring a title to BR. Should we have kept him?

He isnt leaving TCU to come to lsu.
I meant coaches that would actually come here. I know the big time coaches just not the up and coming coaches.

He's been at TCU for like 14 years. How the hell is he an up and comer?

You asked who would be an immediate upgrade.

Everybody has a price. If Alleva wanted to do something to salvage his legacy, he'd meet that price.

Seems like a common theme here to just talk out your arse. PM has a better resume. JS has been to the CWS four times and no title in 13+ years. PM has done the same but won a title and in fewer years

But he isnt coming to lsu.
He is at TCU where 5 national seeds in last 6 years isnt considered underachieving.

He is at a destination school.

That ship has sailed.

When is the last time lsu went .500 in conf? Tcu did in 2013.

He went .500 in conf in 2013. Can you imagine this place if PM went .500 in conf?

they don't hit for contact. they swing for the fences every at at bat. it's frustrating.

Which program has been to Omaha the last 3 years running? Which program has actually been in the winners bracket there in the past 8 years? Who was better head-to-head when they played there?

On the other hand, which program hasn't been able to get out of home regionals/Supers in 2 of the last 3 years?

Keep on sputtering, though.
