Coach K's teams have been bounced in the first round the last two tourney's. Good try, but this wasn't coaching.

Johnny put the team on cruise control for the first ten minutes of the second half and by the time he woke up it was too late. NC State was rolling. Jones is a TERRIBLE in-game coach. Resumè speaks for itself. I need a drink..

Boy, boy, boy! You guys are going to be accused of not being LSU fans! How dare you question the coach!

Please God don't ever compare Jones to Coach K. Just don't.
Duke actually has stringent academic standards and still manages to find talented players.

Oh wait. Maybe a good coach does make a team better. Guess I should shut up. We aren't allowed to blame coaches.

he also coached a team that didn't score a field goal for 10 minutes.

There is clearly something wrong with the coaching.

Explain that to us would you, Coach Wooden?

I love how people bash miles up and down, and defend this clown like he's family. It's insane.

Again, a coach gets credit for a win. He gets blame for a loss. Simple.

It baffles me how people take up for JJ. I mean he can't even draw up a fricking in bounds play. It's obvious he's not a good coach. He was at North Texas for a reason. Because he fricking sucks.

They had plenty of good looks including six free throws the shots just weren't going in. He can't control if the shots go in.

i would probably have them shooting free throws from the morning after the Auburn loss till this game.

But really Idk. I am not a basketball coach. But I don't see well coached teams just stop scoring points for entire halves anywhere near as often as we do.

He also makes seven figures, it comes with the territory. Yes, after we missed as many FT's as we did against Auburn you would think we would have shot 500 per day since last Saturday. Plus not making a FG in the last 10 mins was inexcusable, especially since we really didn't get Martin that many good touches in that stretch.

It's obvious most of you have never been a manager. You're responsible for everything your staff does or does not do.

If the question will he ever get LSU to consisten championship contending level (conference or otherwise)? No, he's not nor was he ever the answer to that question.

For as little as I think of Jones as an HC (and I think my post history clearly shows that), tonight was nowhere near his worst job at LSU. This was a complete, non-coaching induced choke job by his players. You just can't miss countless FTs and shots at the rim late and expect to hang on

Many of Calipari's great teams have choked at the free throw line, ya stupid frick

Many of Coach K's teams have choked at the free throw line down the stretch

What do you want Jones to do, designate half of practice to free throws? just stop dude

Well why Calipari's team and other good coaches teams win games that they should win, especially up double digits at half.

LSU will never have an elite basketball coach. It's the 4th most popular sport at the school
