Pitching and defense won this one for Florida.

The Tigers had a great run, but we just didn't have enough arms this year.

Well we did, one of them just went down at an inopportune time.

Florida has like 6-7 stud pitchers. Even with Walker, we can't touch their depth.

Sure, but we still would've been set up nicely had Walker not gone down.

He would've started game 2 against OSU and then Gilbert would've gone yesterday.

40 mph winds had something to do with it. Ffs. I hate out fans. Especially after all the bullshite tonight.

Lange
Poche
Walker
Gilbert
Hess

All studs, that's 5

Newman had 1 bad outing all year, that's 6

I mean we aren't far off. Would help a ton if Peterson and Bush had consistent command.

Lsu pitched well especially if you consider who they threw until Hess ran out of gas in the 8th. The fielding part was the problem and LSU is a great fielding team just chose a bad time to have a bad fielding game.

Not so much in the 90's. Remember Gorilla Ball?

We didn't win those 5 championships on dominant pitching. We won 5 championships by hitting 3 run homers. Ask Skip, it's a quote of his.

1991 and 3 teams were loaded with excellent pitching - look at the MLB pitchers on those teams. It was all pitching and defense. In fact the Chad Ives team was the best we've had there IMO.
The difference is a pitcher with. 3.4 era is like one with a 1.5 era today.

wind blowing in 21 mph certainly changed things last night anyway, but plenty enough home runs in our previous games.

Earl Weaver, former manager of the Baltimore Orioles in their heyday said, Pitching, Defense and the 3 run homer, wins championships. Power with guys on base can turn a game in an instant. Astros living off that in first part of the season.

Well great pitching will always wing you games regardless of what bat your using. Last time I checked they used the same equipment so whatever we lost just suck it up and let's go again next season
