He goes up against LSU's D every day in practice.

Do y'all really think one game against a JV opponent is going to make that much of a difference in the outcome next week for Harris or any of our other players?

Personally, I think we'll dominate the team that got outplayed by Landmass-Hattiesburg for 30 minutes last night with or without playing a "tune up" game against McNeese.

He looked nervous in the one series he had, he needed that game last night. Practice is practice and played at a slower pace then a REAL game.

Practice should be faster than a real game.

He doesn't go up against the LSU D every day. The offense usually goes up against the practice squad D, which is a bunch of walk-ons and guys who rarely see the field. They're job is to mimic the defense of the upcoming opponent.

Scrimmages are a different story.

On the long pass, he was rushing, he had time to plant and throw, he didn't thats why it came up way short. He's better than that and has a much stronger arm.

Absolutely it is not good with him going the road to start SEC play. Even though it's McNeese establishing the speed of the game is different in practice.

Players don't need real game prep. Offseason film study should be enough. --Rant logic

Uh... He didn't come up short... If Dupre doesn't misjudge the ball it's a TD. Dupre turned the wrong way and started to backpedal. That's the only reason it was incomplete. It's always the QBs fault though right...??

The southern Miss QB looked fine against Miss State and he didn't get a warm up game

We need to attack their seams to death next week.

^ This. The ball wasn't misplaced. Dupre misjudged and should not have turned around.

Great idea, but I honestly cant remember the last time a receiver caught a ball in stride. The best we can hope for is run to a spot, turn around and hope the ball is close.
