Obviously, I don't know the extent of Eric Walker's injury. But LSU was convinced there was no structural damage a few days ago. Why the hell are they waiting til they return home to get an MRI? If he only has a "fatigued muscle", could he not potentially throw a few more innings in Omaha? His long-term health comes first, but why no diagnosis now?

Bc it doesn't matter what the MRI shows, he's shut down for the year.

Interesting take. Coaches are always truthful about everything. Also what about good ole HIPPA?

He has neurological symptoms and needs top notch evaluation. Absolutely the right decision to hold him out!

Because here is a shock to some people on the rant. The coaching staff and trainers know more about his injury and what it can do to him long term than all of us.

It as if there are "fans" here that would rather a KID ruin a potential MLB career just we can squeeze a few more innings out if him while he is in school.
WTF is wrong with you?

I would love to see a chart of future recruits for a school that is handling a pitcher this way compared to a school that has their starters throw 140 pitches each start.

There is a reason MLB puts a premium on pitchers out of high school. To make sure they don't get ruined by college coaches.

I disagree, my source (whose a trainer for the team) says it's a torn UCL and will require Tommy John surgery. That's a 14 month rehab, which means maybe he'll useful again in 2019!
