But when it comes to Bama/LSU, the officiating always seems to turn a blind eye to egregious stuff in favor of Bama.
here are the penalties from the last 8 Bama games; we've only had more penalties than them in 1 game:

2014
LSU: 2 penalties for 20 yards
Bama: 3 penalties for 29 yards

2015
LSU: 7 for 48
Bama: 9 for 88

2016
LSU: 3 for 20
Bama: 6 for 29

2017
LSU: 5 for 30
Bama: 1 for 11

2018
LSU: 3 for 15 yards
Bama: 6 for 60 yards

2019
LSU: 4 for 35 yards
Bama: 7 for 53 yards

2020
LSU: 4 for 40
Bama: 4 for 43

2021
LSU: 6 for 30
Bama: 9 for 64

Gary Danielson was quick to claim he made it.

Sure was. It’s amazing how quick is he to give the other team credit and defend questionable spots. Only AFTER they replay it and it’s obvious LSU got screwed will he admit it was a bad call and that’s usually only when the bad call was not reviewed

It gets pretty maddening in real time lol

I don’t know how many times I said “shut up Gary” on Saturday

It happened so fast that I couldn’t even tell where the line to gain actually was. I know where the yellow line was but that isn’t accurate all the time. The fact the ref immediately waved the chains makes me think the first down marker was actually short of the 35 (I believe that was the yard they were close to)

from my seats it looked clearly short of the marker
