I lived in Tiger Stadium my freshman year in 1947 because ROTC was mandatory for all physically able freshmen and sophomores and that was where we were billeted. Four to a room with toilet and shower and basins down the hall.

Damn, man. You beat me there by 10 years. Keep on rocking guy.

Old Alex Box Stadium (Tigers won the SEC baseball championship that year):

I was at that game, which was won by LSU with a walk-off hit.

I'm always surprised that by the 60's those live oak saplings were full grown.

yes double decking the south added more seats but the architecture of the building should have over ridden the benefit of an extra few hundred seats.

Portion of Quad Pre Middleton Library. I hope they remove the Middleton building soon and restore this portion of the quad back as in the photo.

Come on man. Tiger Stadium is one of the most impressive and notable stadiums in the world from the outside. To call it embarrassing is embarrassing on your part.

Dude your kidding me, Tiger Stadium looks like a mess of designs falures, I hate to say that But its the Truth.

Those who made the call on approval of these designs should be called out.

Sadly we probably don't have the money to change those errors.

There are few feelings greater than the one I get when the sun starts to set and the crowd starts to make it's way towards the stadium in anticipation of a big matchup. You make your way with the crowd and then boom, right as you turn from the Indian Mounds on to Stadium drive you get to lay eyes on this beauty! What a place!!

I lived in North Stadium in 1980/1981. One of the most fun times of my life. Back then we got into the games with our student ID. Our AC was a block of ice in a pan sitting in front of a fan. One memorable thing that happened was someone letting Mike out of his cage.

Good day to you sir.

I am 37 and my body is falling apart, I’m starting to take much more interest in what I put in my body and if the long term damage is worth what I am putting my body through daily and weekly... I applaud you and what you have done to stay mentally active. Being able to follow your passions online not letting the world pass by as you get older is awesome, I hope to be the same way.

Very cool pics of the old days.

Are there still dorms inside Tiger Stadium?

The nachos are exactly the same nachos as 1950.

Negative. I think they closed them in late 80's.
