Pretty much says it all...
I told Led in the spring before his 1st season that LSU is one of the best jobs in the country...a very rabid fan base, and they will love you to death, but don't screw up, as they eat their own...he looked @ me and said, "I will keep that in mind". I told him good luck, but don't FUp...well, it took him awhile, but he F'dup...

Les getting fired is a lot different than your everyday working man from getting fired. It's not like he has to worry how he's going to pay his mortgage and if he does then shame on him.

The man has. 6M buyout some say. Nobody cares. And if LSU spreads it out, he gets the buyout + interest. Don't cry for him, lil coonass.

Like to see Alleva put his own words "commitment to excellence" , towards the rest of our sports programs.

he will get 3-4 times his annual salary. Most folks would be ok with that kind of severance

The way last night's game ended, they couldn't help but see the sign from the football gods that it was time to move on. The horseshoe finally twisted the other way up our asses

Miles got lucky in so many past games, but this year it was evident his luck ran out. I blame him too fur trying to insist Harris was his boy this season and he came out and just looked like he regressed from last season. Les & Cam didn't see that before the season started? They got what was coming to them!

Aleva probably had this written last season. Just knock the dust off and change the dates.

While a change was needed, it's never a good thing to see someone fired from their job.

You guys act like he's been living paycheck to paycheck, geez! He's the dumbest millionaire on the planet.

Can't punt on this season.

Only way to win some big games we need to is to shake things up. Can't win @ Florida with the status quo.

Ed needs to shake these players up and install a entirely new culture. A culture shock!!! The ones that quit can go the ones that thrive can play. Make these boys MEN, that's the difference in us and now OM, Ark, Bama, FL, and apparently MS/Aub also shoot TAM has passed us physically nowa days. It's pathetic and I have zero love loss. The man knew what needed to be done but failed, had his last shot to really go out on top and lost. It's on Les Miles and Les Miles only. There's a whole lot of cleaning up to do but no question we have the players here to get it done.

Les did not sustain success much after sabans footprint was officially off of the program.

Les Miles has always been simply average and just benefited from the blueprint saban laid down.

100% disagree with this. Saban was 8-4, 10-3, 8-5, 13-1, 9-3 at LSU. He wasn't going undefeated every season, like some revisionists try to insinuate.

There have been too many teams that have experienced success, lost the head coach, and then fell off quickly. LSU did not and Les was a big reason why.

LSU needed to make a change and they did, but don't try to take away from the success of the coach was just removed. He was a good coach for LSU's football program, but just like Bowden at FSU and Richt at UGA, it was time to move on.

Alleva has done nothing worth a shite since he got here. Now he's gonna pick the new head football coach?!

I want to see Joe Alleva fired too...

Regardless of who he followed its flat out difficult to sustain success at a major program. Won't be easy to win like miles has well at least his first 8 years. Last few years has been bad. Time for change let's hope O can revamp this team
