This is the right type of hire - focused, game adapter, stop spread, and has gotten great reviews for lots of coaches.

I wonder why he is unemployed?

The article was unclear exactly, but it was when the new USC coach came in, he brought his own DC from Wash.

It might have to do with timing. Sometimes when those moves are made its like musical chairs - music stopped, he didn't have a spot, all were filled.

Trust me. Les has gameday decisions and stubborness that baffle me. Having said that, w the exception of saban, most of the sec coaches have similarly crippling faults

I'm in, with coaches P&O I'll feel like Chavis did us a favor.

I agree. But I will say this and I am in no way trolling. If Les does not fix the offense he will be done at LSU in 2 years or less. Saban is widening the gap between Alabama and LSU. LSU is one of the only teams in the nation that gets the talent to compete with Saban. If you are going to compete with Saban and Alabama you better be ready to enter an all out arms race or you will be left behind. Bama is willing to commit everything in order to stay on top. The only thing that matters to them is football.

I'm all for it, but they're not on the short list right now.

He was still getting paid by USC, why not enjoy a year off?

Oh yeah apparently he was making 900K at USC, maybe we could get him for say...1.3mil?

Agree 100%. This DC hire is huge. Im willing to give cameron a pass this yr bc of the losses from last yr (which was a very good offense w good qb play) resulting in youth on offense this yr. Plus i dont think jennings is all that talented. But harris clearly is talented so if next yrs offense looks bad then the heat should get turned up on les and cam.

This needs to happen. Reunite him and O, and bring some damn energy and passion to the defensive side of the ball. We need passion like we see from Jamal Adams.

according to my "insider" there is and there are already meetings lined up... soon very soon.

If we get option #1 folks will go nuts. Huge upgrade from Chavis, but we may be too late to the game for this one. The next two options on the "list" are not viable, not to me anyway, and certainly not to the longevity of Miles' career at LSU.
