I have cousins that are passionate ULL fans and I always enjoy when they get so excited to follow their handful of baseball players through the minors on facebook.

Its like awwee bless their hearts...

All smack talk aside, I am really excited UL-L is coming to town this weekend for another arse beating. It's always fun when the folks from lafayette come to town.

Exactly. Every so often, it's nice to let the undesirables know their place.

Honestly I kinda feel bad. Normally we just humiliate them during a weekday game which only our state is watching.

Now we are going to humiliate them infront of the whole country during prime time. Ouch

Yes, because God forbid another in-state school not named LSU shows a tad of success in athletics.

To my fellow LSU alumni and Tiger fans, I'd like to point something out that you're all overlooking.

As a citizen of Lafayette, I can say that the "guido" stigma attached to Lafayette has developed into full on "hipster". Though the "bro/guido" lifestyle is still strong in the community, the hipster movement has taken over.

Take away what you'd like from that. As for me, I think it shows how impressionable the people are when it comes to fads. So to any Cajun fan that says "ohh we don't have all of the t-shirt fans like LSU does...", you're only lying to yourself. I've been here since Bustle was around. When that "hold on to the roap" campaign came out alongside a breakout season, the bandwagoners were out in full force.

fads never die in lafayette. a few people still wear z cavaricci and turtlenecks, a holdover from the 80's.

Figured. I read 5 pages and didn't see anything I haven't seen a thousand times before.

I hope the Cajuns win, but I'm still an lsu fan too. Good luck, Tigers, and obviously, suck my balls.

LSU-Eunice just won the DIII championship and we've shown them support. What more do you want from us?

Also, congrats to Southeastern for having the best record in school history this year.

I can't stand ULL this weekend, but if they happened to win (not gonna happen)...I would pull for ULL in World Series.
