I know this has been talked about a few times but I wanted to start a thread where people could discuss different options/prices/rules for tailgating areas. Does anyone have any suggestions for where to park where tailgating is allowed? I know they allow it in the designated lots, but the problem is that those lots don't open until around noon. I am looking for other options where we could get out there at 7-8 AM. I have heard there is parking at the baseball stadium but don't have any details. Help would be greatly appreciated.

If you could put any parking info you have in the following format I will update this thread to keep everything organized.

Cowboy Stadium Lots
Website: Cowboy Stadium Parking
Purchase Tickets: Ticket Site
Price: $50-$65
Tailgating Rules: Lots 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 are the only "Tailgating approved" lots. These lots will open at noon. If you don't get an outside spot by the grass, you are pretty much out of luck.

LOT 4 FTW. they let us start at 11 last year. Let's hope they do the same again.

Wow. Thank God it's not like this for home games. LOL.

The following items/activities are prohibited:
Deep fryers or any oil-based cooking or frying
Open flame fires of any kind. Charcoal or gas cooking is permitted.
Disorderly conduct
Picketing, political campaigning or soliciting/distribution of any kind
Saving parking or tailgating spaces
Weapons and fireworks
Sale of food, beverage, merchandise, etc.
Advertising or promoting any third party products (including but not limited to food and beverage products)
Amplified sound systems or the use of radios/audio devices at loud levels.

Thankfully we can drink. I went to the Washington game up in Seattle two years ago and they made a "caged" area where LSU fans could drink draft beer. It was humiliating and sad.

We were able to get in early to our lot last year, but it was out of sheer luck. I would like to be able to not worry about the time the lots open. Are there any other places to park that are better then the official lots?

I assume they are selling alcohol in the stadium?

Yes... but that has nothing to do with tailgating.

Is there a reason this thread has been anchored?

Parking at both football/baseball stadiums opens five hours before the event, according to the website. That's too late for me. I'm actually calling retailers and other nearby companies to try and cut a deal and let us set up around 7 a.m. Otherwise, we're going to go into Humperdinks with the rest of the mob.

Although the rules in Cowboys-owned lots are pretty restrictive, there are a ton of privately-owned lots where the rules are more lax. Check out Cowboys Tailgate for a comparison.

Private Lots
Website/Purchase Parking: Private Lot Parking
Price: $16.50-$192.50
Rules: Varies by lot, but generally more lax than Cowboys (tailgating on concrete permitted)
