The point of the OP was that this is what Miles wanted to accomplish but just didn't run enough formations to loosen up the defenses. It's not about the play calling necessarily, it's about making the defense account for all 11 players. For example, we ran 51 times to 16 passes this weekend.
I think he and Cam were trying to do this, but they had trouble understanding that it's just as much about the formations as it is about the plays themselves.
And, no, Miles was not terrible, he was a helluva coach. His resume was superb, and he did a lot of great things for the program. He built the team that is currently doing what it's doing. He just couldn't get out of his own way on offense. And he was stubborn as a mule. But that doesn't a change his 114-34 overall record and 62-28 SEC record. There will be few if any available coaches for the openings this offseason with a resume like his.

It's further reinforced by him constantly clamouring for Kiffin to come to LSU as if that is the only solution.

It's more like our offense without Miles

our three conference games we've won under O, we're averaging 565 yards of offense and 373 yards rushing. I don't know what it all means,
it means we played:
Missouri (ranked 109th against the run)
Ole Piss (ranked 114th against the run)
Arkansas (ranked 103rd against the run)

And the offense would have accomplished the same thing under Coach Miles if only on simple thing had been done.
Take the headset away from Miles during the games.
Since Orgeron and Ensminger have been in their current slots, we had the delay of game issue against Alabama, but have not seen it in other games. With Miles and Cameron it was happening like every game and why? Because Miles was jumping in and changing the play while the other played was being sent in from the bench.
I think a large part of the defensive improvement is the fresh legs the defense has from not participating in 80 play scrimmages ever week before a game. Yes, Aranda has also had a big impact with the defense this season.
I hate win people get on here and talk shite that they are clueless about. I know it's popular to allege that Miles interfered with the offense, but is flat out not true. I've been able to confirm from multiple sources that Cameron had complete control of the offense. Miles was loyal to Cam. Stop spreading dumbness.

Orgeron also knows nothing about running a defense as well.

and his interfering with the play calling and not giving his offense time to read the defense or get the OL assignments straight. not to mention awful QB play.

Amazing how getting Cameron out of the way has worked wonders.

[quote]. I don't know what it all means, but it's been a pretty impressive machine since he took
it means arky and ole miss are ranked 100th and 105th in opponents rushing yards per game. last year they were 11th and 20th in opponents rushing yards per game.

This is just mind boggling that he was doing this during the season...this is just going full retard...

Exactly. But they cant let facts get in the way of them trying to shite on Miles.
Watch your back though!!!!
If you post too many facts that paint miles has the most successful coach in lsu history, you will be labeled a miles apologist.
Only on the rant can you see posters getting pissed when another posters posts facts that paint the last 11 years as great. I've never seen a fan base more willing to shite on its own accomplishments just because the coach didnt win the way they deemed pretty.

Ha ha. You have threads daily that try to shite on miles. Im just pointing out the hypocrisy. No one tells the posters that shite on mile to get over it.
Also this post is 5 posts above us....

Yeah no one cares.
I dont care. I just like pointing oit the hypocrisy.
I do find it funny that in the 3rd year of miles tenure posters were still giving the credit to Saban yet now that Orgeron steps in,he immediately gets the credit.

No it's not. It's his vision for a defense, but he doesn't make the gameplan and the calls. He just hires the right people (Muschamp, Smart, Pruitt).

What O brings to the table?
The coach knows how to DEVELOP defensive lineman.....

True.....but people are still sore about what could have been and rightfully so. Miles coached this season so he is naturally going to continue to get blamed for the two early losses.
By next season, I seriously doubt you'll see many if any threads on the man. We will have a new coach potentially and all will be forgotten.

Ensminger will have the off-season to put in some surprises to the offense.
