Would a big name coach accept a 1 year OC/DC position with full play calling decision making to allow Les to have his farewell tour that this board thinks he deserves?

Let's be honest: the type of coach LSU needs is not the type of person who would accept a year as a coordinator, IMO.
I like Les. Given a GUARANTEE that the LSU offense would be damned strong next year, I'd strongly consider this sort of arraignment, but a clean break might be better than a trial-separation, metaphorically speaking.

Why does he deserve a farewell tour? The man gets paid 4 mil a year and will receive a hefty buyout. I'm sure he'll be just fine.
