O was hired for the right reason.

Any man who says this is about LSU I don't want more money for me I want to have the money to get the assistance that I need we need to win is the kind of man that we should want.
I mean seriously I just want to put this in perspective this guy was flying out on recruiting visits as he was reading stories about how he wasn't going to get the job and he never quit doing his job I was pissed all morning but now that I think about it he might just be the exact thing that we need here.

You also seem to lack an astronomical amount of football knowledge if you think just paying for assistants will produce results when your head coach historically is an abysmal failure.

He didnt get more money because he has NEVER RAN A SUCCESSFUL OFFENSE, DEFENSE OR PROGRAM. you and i have ran as many successful offenses, defenses, and successful programs as Ed orgeron.
I find it fricking pathetic that we had this guy on staff, wouldn't let him be the dc but yeah lets promote him to HC. frick alleva.

What would have happened if Herman was hired and then two years later I ran to take a head coaching job. Then Herman's fate will be determined by his ability to get the next great defensive coordinator...... which is no different than Orgeron.

You're right, it's not at all an advantage that Saban is a defensive guru or Meyer is an offensive guru, etc. Doesn't matter if your coach has mastered one side of the ball and isn't totally dependant on coordinators. GOOD analysis. SMart.

If you think the majority of head coaches are involved in play-calling then I don't think I'm the one who needs more knowledge on how football operates at the college level. There's Maybe three head coaches that take-charge and overrule their coordinators or interfere.
You have position coaches for technique and you have coordinators for schematics the head coach is nothing more than the glue that keeps all those pieces together.
Saving himself said he tries to stay off the headset unless they're discussing fourth Downs or whatever because he does not want to interfere or stop his coordinators from being focused during the game.

Ed orgeron is the most unqualified hire at a big 6 program in modern sec football. Derek dooley is more qualified than Ed Orgeron. Let that sink in.

He stays off the head set because he has never done what the coordinators have done. Thats the point. Career position coaches dont just become head coaches. Ed orgeron is the least qualified lsu hc in history. Literally in lsu history

these morons want us to live and die on BOTH SIDES of the ball based on OC and DC hires. the hell with always having one side locked down with the HC and the HC money! Miles was wasted money for years. here we go again!
