This is Os Guy. He knew his QB situation. Lots of OCs make big improvements their first year at a place.

We shouldn’t expect anything less.

No question. There are no excuses at all now. It's put up or shut up when September rolls around.

That is said every year about Lsu's quarterbacks. Apparently that is the only color that LSU recruits and they don't improve. Why hire a previously failed offensive coordinator to rid the green. This experiment will prove to be detrimental very soon. Freshmen can be made to be ready in several other schools, but not at LSU'S quarterback graveyard. It can only be one of two things. Either LSU can not recruit a QB because of their shitty offensive system or a QB can not succeed in the shitty system.

I don't disagree with any of that. By the time the season gets here, there are no excuses for this team on either side of the ball.

Eureka !! Someone on the board understands. Not sure wether to be gratef or sad. Had almost given up, now I am stuck with the bs & dummies looking for the few that have a clue.

Same shite different off-season. I mentioned he would do this a few days ago in another thread. I guess he will squeeze in another 65% in the 3-4 weeks of fall practice while splitting reps between 3 QBs and developing a gameplan for Miami.

The "% of the offense" scam is nothing more than O laying a foundation for an excuse when the offense fails and the Tigers lose a game.

"Due to (inexperience, too many freshmen, injuries, etc.) we could only install 35% of our offense." The implication is that LSU could have won the game if O had been able to fully install his offense.

the offense must look horrific. Setting up excuses for his failures already. This season will be one hell of a ride

Im not criticizing him for feeling that way but don't act like he doesn't care what the fans think.

No acting necessary. The ire of the fans was so palpable in the days leading to the Ensminger hire that if O really cared about fan approval, he would’ve done an immediate about face and actually conducted a legitimate OC search.

How in the crap does a guy that can't even coordinate a defense speak about an offense? Answer: He can't, period. This is pure bullcrap!!!!

To my knowledge, it's not uncommon for a first year coordinator to not have 100% of their system in year 1. I believe Aranda said it would take 2 full years to install his system 100%.

I believe O and Alleva told the fan base we would compete for championships immediately and that this wasn’t a rebuilding process.

I'm not following how my quote has anything to do with your post. Aranda said that when he was hired by Miles. I wasn't at all insinuating a rebuilding process.

He should have said 50% of the offense was ready. Our competition would be worried and all you fans would be smileing. Does anybody really think he worked out percentage formula for Tiger rant.

well Lane Kiffin managed to install enough of his offense his first year to make the playoffs with Blake Sims at QB.

This is college ball. The offenses aren't that complex and certainly don't need multiple years to install. That was the excuse so many on this board used for Cam's "complex" offense.

O will definitely accept a cabinet position or get elected to Congress after his tenure as HC. The guy can spew it.

Preemptive excuses/propaganda directly from the head coach. Pretty pathetic. I get the sneaking suspicion our offense is going to suck.

And it wouldn't surprise me one bit of Kiffin only had 35% of his offense installed after a dozen practices. Does that mean I think SE will be as good as Kitten? No, I do not. I'm only discussing the percentage of what's installed.
