I wonder, have you ever said anything like this about a young white QB prospect?

Yes, it will actually

based on what? odell has never been in trouble. it's a total strawman argument to say his odds will increase during the offseason

should tom brady pursue baseball in the offseason? he was drafted once upon a time. don't want him getting into trouble with all that free time he has. those photo shoots for ugg boots are a recipe for disaster

Sure! Why not? I don't understand why this is such a big deal. All I'm saying is time on the diamond or on the football field, is less time for mistakes. What is so damn hard about understanding that? If any athlete has the chance in the off season, to practice with another team and participate in drills, why not do it? Keeps you active.

why is it so hard for you to understand that there is no reason to worry about a player like odell getting into trouble

you don't think nfl players stay active in the offseason

it would honestly be a detriment to his football career to waste time playing minor league baseball in the offseason if you want to have a real discussion about it. it serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever.

Please show me where I said he was getting any trouble? You wanted me to say that, but I didn't because that's not at all what I am referring to.

Again, this is what you think. Did I state that any where?

No shite Sherlock. Hoping this doesn't happen, but what if it does to OBJ? Would be nice for him to test drive his pitching tools now while he is still healthy. Always good to have a fall back option, my man

what if OBJ had a car accident on the way to baseball practice? what if he blows out his elbow pitching (like chad jones did btw last year) and has to miss the entire football season?

I tried not to giggle at that, but I did

ETA: You don't see it as I do. It's ok.

This team is trying to sign him for publicity and to sell more tickets. Not because he's got professional baseball potential. The money he would make in minor league baseball would never be enough to be a fall back option from the NFL.

You're the one who claimed he needed a fall back option. He doesn't need the money from it so why would he risk injury to do it?
