People thought he would be the starter in 2021 because of his stats to start 2020. That seemed like a reasonable opinion barring evidence to the contrary. People that were shitting on other QBs were gonna find an excuse to do that. There were also guys shitting on Brennan and Daniels because they wanted someone else at QB in 2022. LSU has a lot of fans or so-called fans that love shitting on LSU players and the team in general.
