Preach, brother. I'm sure Nuss loves LSU, and is thrilled to be the starting QB in BR, and I think he will have a great (potential Heisman) year in 2024.

But it's laughable how many people think he would still be here if 2-3 years ago he had the EXACT SAME amount of eligibility left as Jayden Daniels.

He WOULD NOT BE. And that's ok. Because high level QBs want and need playing time. It's gonna be the same reason half (or more) of these 173638276 blue chip QBs we've signed in the last few years will transfer out. It's how the world works.

Now this is how you went over a team and a locker room you make a commitment, you make a decision and you stick with it that’s he’s got character

The worst thing about NIL and the transfer portal is that it's telling college students that it's OK to leave a job for more money, fulfillment, and a role that that'd be better for their career long term. Loyalty means nothing anymore!!!!

(sarcasm font for the above)

Really glad Nuss stuck it out. He could have started just about anywhere he transferred to last year.

Even Burrow couldn't unseat the Tyrannosaurus for me. Shaq seems like a cool cat as well.

Really need a strong run game to not put too much on him and that gunslinging arm mentality.

If the bowl game showed us, he can be that dude.

Explain how, leaving in that situation, would be a dumb decision.
If he was never going to play, why not leave? There have been many players transfer and are still Tiger fans.

I'm not sure you got the gist of my post. I was commenting on everyone kissing Nuss's arse about how he "stuck it out" and he's a "true tiger".

My point was he only stayed here because he saw a clear and legitimate path to being the starting QB at LSU, arguably (especially with a competent coach) the best college football program in America.

Had he not seen this clear and legitimate path, his arse would have been gone faster than you can say "he stuck it out". And there's not a DAMNED thing wrong with that. These top QBs (and all positions for that matter), have to go somewhere and play, because the top guys almost all have the ambition of playing in the NFL, and it's hard to make that league while holding a clipboard.

But we have a DL coach. I hope that makes a big difference but we'll see.

BK prayed for a sign.

After the season he asked Gid why he abandoned him. God said “I sent you the worst defense in the history of LSU week in and week out, what more did you need…Fire everyone”

nothing wrong with his statement. J.Burrow made his mark and will forever be a true Tiger but why not Nuss?

If he were to lead the Tigers to a Natty he will forever be a true Tiger as well.
