Why would he leave and start over when the job is his after next year? He will be taking over for JD with 2 years left, if not sooner, due to JD's durability issues with his playing style. Howard needs two more years to sit too, and if patient, could be a good one for us post-Nuss.

I’m sure this is the plan. Of course most plans don’t work out as expected. I think Nuss will get more action next season than planned.

Sounds good in theory. Kids these days usually do not prescribe to it. I think Howard needs to put on some weight. I don’t think he would want to sit for 3 years. Maybe I am wrong though. I hope I am wrong.

Walkers decision will be tough for him.

Good thing is nuss’s dad knows a lot about developing QBs and that it doesn’t happen overnight. Versus some dads who think natural talent shines day one or that their kid should get the most money immediately. Hoping some good advice keeps his talented son here.

This scenario would almost certainly mean walker transferring because he would sit 4 years. 1 more Jayden and 2 Nuss. Honestly though all indications are that Nuss >>> Howard right now, even if that isn’t the case in the future you start the best guy. Year after Nuss would be RS JR year for Collins and RS SO year for Hurley

Daniels has 1 more year and Nuss has chance to take the lead. Would be stupid to leave.

If this happens then Howard will leave. There’s no real scenario that they all stay. I don’t think Howard rides the bench for 4 years.

The biggest argument for staying imo is simple, wait a year, maybe less if you beat JD or he gets hurt, and you get the keys to one of the best cars in the race. Why go drive a Datsun when the keys to a Porsche are waiting to be picked up? Patience young men.

I'm no fan of Nuss because of his quitting on the team for the bowl but I'll support him if hes here. Let's see what hes really made of.

You'll be glad that he skipped the bowl game when he is starting in '25 as a RS Sr.

He'll contribute a ton this year and is 1st in line for next. We should be legitimate CFP contenders. Plus, his teammates respect him, the fans like him and he's got solid NIL contracts.

Unless we bring in some 5* super hero with a cape, it would be crazy to consider other options.

Both Nuss and Howard can continue to sharpen their skills while knocking out a lot of classes. It could prop both of them up for circumstances like Burrow had; students of the game during their starting QB years.

I totally disagree in this era. It’s a different world. He should go where he can start now.

He's one play away from starting. That could happen in the first game. Some QB's have made a career out of understanding this concept.
