Now that the dust has settled, let's get something straight...

This situation doesn't help shite. Now that the congratulatory circle-jerk is over, it's time to face the reality that this is a sad day for the Tigers. The team can/may pull together and have a phenomenal season (as I hope they do), but that will be in spite of this fall's events, not because of them. JJ and Shep were very popular with the team (don't know anything about JJ2), and the team did not receive their suspensions with with the same thinly-veiled elation that some of our fans put on display earlier.
We're now down to one experienced QB who may well surprise, but hasn't been able to take the top spot in three years.
An offensive plan that was likely built around a certain type of quarterback (or combination of QBs) will have to be re-worked in fairly short order.
God help us if Mett gets into anything this season; let's not act as though that's out of the question.
This was likely a body-blow to many players on the team, as well as the CLM.
There's nothing to celebrate. I'll be pulling for Jarrett as hard as anyone, but him getting "the start" will not make up for what we've lost in the process.
ETA: Shep obviously wasn't arrested and won't be gone for the season.

Based on EVERYTHING that has happened in the last month.....I think 8-4 is very likely and 6-6 is a possibility.

This shite never happened when Richard Murphy was here.. Just sayin....

I don't know about that, but I would have given us as good a shot as any to win it all. Now, 10-3 sounds good (not a bad season by any estimation).

I won't even take that bait. Mama should have raised you better.

Trust me.....I hope I am wrong. Our schedule is tough and the turmoil will not help. We do not have any leaders as of yet. I could see this team implode if Miles does not have a handle on the situation.

This has been a tough week to be a Tiger fan, unbelievable what has happened the last few days. I am truly sorry for both JJ's as I am for the "victims" in this case. I have read many things that make me think that all is not as it seems in this case, but that won't do these young men any good. They have ruined their careers and good names. Very sad. The fact remains, the players who respected curfew and were in there beds are still on the team and not facing problems. It's hard to get in bar fights if you don't go out to the bars.
I hope this team has the leaders who will get it back on track. I believe Coach Miles is that type of coach. None of this should have happened.

According to Ryan Baker "We don't let something like this derail all we've worked for."

I certainly hope he's right.

That is good to hear from Baker.

Brandon Taylor, not Baker. Sorry I misquoted.

As was said...the team is more than any one player.

It is a sad day. No joy here, but he made a series of poor decisions as team leader and now is paying an extreme price. Glad this part is over
