Now that Saban is gone, is Bama not LSU biggest rival anymore?

Let’s just hope we can flip the script and beat the doors off of them for the next 50 years.

I think it depends on if Lane leaves for Bama. Sure Florida is still a rival but they have clearly taken a step back and we have owned them, plus I’ve seen their fans talk about the school de-emphasizing football.

My hot take: One of either UT or OU will become LSU’s biggest rival in the new SEC

Do Florida and Ole Miss also have a billion national titles?

This is like asking a few other schools if Michigan or Notre Dame are no longer a rival after a successful HC leaves.

It’ll always be Bama in my book, always. Just too much bad blood there. If they never win another game, it’ll be too soon and I’d sooner watch anyone else win a title.

Still Bama for me but Ole Miss will be tough this fall

Curious who the new Bama coach will be and which arse't coaches get poached - people have guessed Kirby
or Kiffin take over but they're both set up well that I'd bet the field

Still wonder if LSU could have prevented his going to the Dolphins with add'l $$$$$ ? Sounded like he thought he'd be as good in the NFL as CFB but that's only true of Jimmy Johnson and Pete Carroll

I will enjoy beating their asses like it’s 2000-07 for a few more years until the smugness has worn off of that fanbase.

But yeah, they’ll be relegated to just another game on the schedule pretty soon imo.

right. But did you feel this way before Saban went to Bama? It wasnt Auburn that you hated more?

I feel like Texas will become our biggest rival in the new SEC.

I thinkbthe Bama rival will die down a lot if Bama is mediocre.

It became so much bigger when Saben went to Bama.

Depends on how many Alabama players leave and go elsewhere. Bama is stacked with five star and four star recruits. If they can hire a decent coach, they’re still better than LSU next year.

It had only been less than a decade of fandom for me at that point, but yes it was Bama even then. Trust me, I’ve no love lost for Auburn, OM, or Florida either.

I’ll admit that Saban going to Bama poured gasoline on the fire to the point I’ll never see another school as our chief rival again.

It’s more their fans than anything though. I enjoy meeting CFB fans of schools all over the country, and usually get along quite well with them. Many even like LSU. Not Bama’s though, I’ve had some terrible experiences with Bama fans that far outweigh any other school.
