what do rankings have to do with winning the west?

all those years we only had an above average chance of winning the west.

This is what you really wanted to say with this thread, otherwise you could also ask how these fanbases feel now that they have come back to the pack:

USC
OU
UGA
WVU
VT
others...

...........go be a cincinnatti fan or tcu fan; they're undefeated and need your bandwagon support. seriously, relax, this is a cyclical business; it's 'bama's turn and you can't do anything but watch and enjoy ! if the tide loses to texas (not likely to happen) then we'll see authentic global warming, not the fraud we hear about now !!!

Read the thread title. It's about LSU FOOTBALL, not baseball.

Lost to every team that doesn't suck.

Ding-ding-ding-ding.

Just give it up...these stat whores will forever shout 51 wins, 4-0 bowl record, and 10 win years...all the way into mediocrity.

much better than i felt during the early 90's

And as an LSU fan, let me say how proud I am to use the absolute worst and lowest point in our history as the measuring stick for success in our program.

Florida, USC, Oklahoma, Georgia, Ohio State are some examples of schools that have had a top 10 to top 15 year (as opposed to top 5), yet are still in BCS title talk from year to year.

And their fans don't have a SKY IS FALLING mentality that I've witnessed.

Every one of those teams has a better record and higher average ranking than we do over the past two years. Those fans don't think the sky is falling for them because it isn't. For us, it already has.

So, considering where we've been for the majority of the 110+ years of playing football, I'm pretty good with a Top 10 program.

I probably would be, too, if we still had one.

So what is florida's signature win a 13-3 win over us? if we are mediocre than i guess florida has fallen a little behind too.

you are a fricking moron. we are average in the same way we were average bw 2003 and 2007

Wow. You're saying that going 17-8 over two years, finishing unranked one season and sitting outside the top 10 in the other is the same as winning two national championships, two SEC championships, three SEC West championships, finishing ranked every year, winning 10 or more games every year but one (when we won 9), over a 5-year period?

And HE'S a moron?

I know what it's about dipshit. I know alot of you like to claim that LSU is in a decline and is mediocre because it validates your hatred for Miles...but just because you keep repeating something doesn't make it true.
