As much trash as the ND faithful spew about BK, they sure are envious of everything he touches. BK brought Freeman in but when BK leaves who do they hire? Now, they want BKs OC. It seems like BK knows what he is doing. Lol

Who cares? Why do any of you care what Notre Dame fans think? How do you even KNOW? The only way I know anything about them is when y'all post about it here.

They definitely have a weird ex/divorce complex about CBK, did anyone over here harass Kansas’ fanbase when they hired Miles or am I tripping?

Ya, that's been going on a lot here today too "JD made Denbrock, we don't like him anyway...sloan is the real"

But with that said, I don't care about Denbrock or ND. My biggest issue is we are coming off a great offensive season with a heisman. No school should take our OC after that kind of season for anything less than a HC. And I'd go so far to say they should only go to the NFL. Losing a friend to ND in a lateral move is ridiculous.

LSU is the ND of the South. Both are brands that are a thorn in many teams sides and just won’t go away. Both have fans all over the place. Both have a storied history.

Everyone hates LSU. Not one true clear cut rival. Just a bunch of rivalries with teams who happen to have a bigger rival. No instate rival school.

OU hates LSU
Bama hates LSU
Ole Miss hates LSU
Arkansas hates LSU
Florida hates LSU
A&M hates LSU
Texas hates LSU
Auburn hates LSU

Michigan hates ND
Ohio State hates ND
USC hates ND
Stanford hates ND
Navy hates ND
Michigan State hates ND
Pitt hates ND

Get over yourself. They hired away our OC hours ago and our head coach is their winningest coach in their history.

It’s a relevant topic. There is 0 reason to be a prick to OP.

Well, he IS the winningest coach in ND history and they do think they are better than LSU. This is pretty easy to figure out. It’s like a guy leaving a society broad, not for a supermodel (understandable), but for a hot party girl who fricks.

What exactly should LSU have done to retain Denbrock?

He's 60 and wants to wind down his career closer to home, should we move LSU to the Midwest?

There are any number of explanations for this that don’t reflect on LSU or Kelly in a bad light. The two most obvious are letting a friend go back to the Midwest for non-football reasons and not overpaying for an OC when Kelly is the main architect of the offense and he needs to spend the budget shoring up the defensive staff.

Listen I can guarantee you it has been tough on ND and their fans seeing your winningest coach leave. Then seeing that coach compete right away with success in the SEC and his new team then on top of it have a Heisman winner and a historic defense. They can point at the losses and that is a legit argument for them.
Whether they know it or not subconsciously they know what they have is subpar and a shot in the “dark”.
Why not try and ruin it a little for CBK and slow his roll by taking his OC. This is not going to end well for them.
LSU will be elite again depending on what Nuss becomes and CBK ability to correct the defensive issues. That is what everybody is going to look at in the future.

It’s the nature of being a fan. LSU fans would come on here and celebrate when Eli Ricks, Max Johnson, Jack Bech would fail. I don’t think it’s right or wrong, it’s just how fan bases are. Why would a fan like someone who willingly leaves their school?

It’s amazing what having a Heisman winner, two first round WRs, and one of the best Oliners in the country can do for an OC.

They certainly tried to sell us on how happy they were.

The best analogy I can give is ND thought they were in a serious relationship with BK.

Turned out, BK was there to “hit it & quit it”.

Now ND has been sitting by the phone for weeks, waiting for a call back after getting raw dogged.

The sad part is, he’s moved on and that phone is not ringing, girls.

This is all true. ND fans know deep in their hearts they will never win another natty as things are currently constructed but still see themselves as creme de la creme in college football. They also know that just about anyone can win a title at LSU if they recruit well. That's why they take any chance they can get to point their finger at BK and LSU. Denbrock is going back to his roots where realistically, there will be less pressure on him. Had he stayed at LSU, the expectation would have been natty or bust moving forward and some people don't like that.

What’s funny is that Notre Dame is going to expect an incredible offense now. It’s 80% personnel and 20% coaching.
