8pm prime time against UT would have been better for LSU
I hope LSU beats notre dame... struggling with them would not be good
losing would be devastating

Great for me. Nashville Predators play the St. Louis Blues right after as well.

This is the only bowl match up that I wouldn't have to take off work to see.

Why? Because we're not playing in Texas again?

Because it's a game that no one will be watching.

Pros:
-Brand name matchup. It's always fun and unique to play Notre Dame, especially given the opportunity to beat their brains out.
-New location. We've repeatedly gone to the same couple of stadiums for bowls/neutral site games. Music City is something completely different and adds a novelty and excitement to bowl travel.
Cons:
-Farther trip. Not a huge alumni base there and not an easy drive from Louisiana.
-Venue/Time: Outdoor stadium in the middle of the day on a Tuesday vs primetime indoors.
Overall, I would have rathered the Texas Bowl. Notre Dame and Texas are both big-name opponents, but a nighttime, neutral site matchup between border states would feel like a bigger game in the moment and would have been a fun atmosphere. We miss out on a "rivalry" component in schools and offices Texas and Louisiana where Longhorns and Tigers mix it up on a daily basis.
