Motivating a player is important, coaching on the sideline and making correct decision equally important

Les's greatest coaching challenge will be the upcoming season- I just hope he knows he cannot rest on the laurels of the 13 wins this year

Thanks for the encouragement. The 2012 team will enter the season needing to prove something to themselves and TigerNation will benefit!

You can't lose someting you never had. Collins said that he made up his mind two years ago.

Correction Landon's girl friend made his mind up for him

I am going to when his GF dumps him and he wished he would have stayed home close to mama, family and friends who really care about him

This was a good season that could have been really special.

News flash...13-1, 9-0, west champs, SEC champs, and BCSNCG player is "really special".

But, to my surprise, he said that the players recently all had individual meetings with Miles and that a number of the players had been a little "down" about the loss to Bama, but those same players came out of those one-on-one meetings with Miles busting at the seams and pumped up for the 2012 season.(

They were busting at the thought of having a QB with enough brain cells between the ears that will enable him to get the ball to all the playmakers and maybe a little defense reading and maybe finding 2nd and 3rd receivers and maybe even throwing to our tight ends.

Your fan base should be thrilled with this performance. Bama used the loss to auburn last year as a chip on their shoulder. I've never heard Saban say anything positive about our offseason workouts before but he did last year. IMO it had to do with the loss to AU. It pissed them off all year. The LSU FB team can go 2 ways, they can give up due to Bama loss or be pissed and bust their arse in spring and summer practices and then win it all next year.

First off, I have the utmost respect for Miles as a coach. Last season was special, we just ended up on a terrible note. I have complete faith in LM to right the ship and fix the fractured program we have now. To be honest, after thinking about it, he was in a very difficult position trying to choose between 2 senior QBs for the game. He took a gamble on leaving the same one in the whole game and, this time, his gamble didn't pay off. Yeah, he put himself in that position, but hindsight is 20/20. Neither did much to separate himself from the other. Now, I fully expect him to regain the teams confidence and trust in the next few months, and to preach to our tigers what next season is about....

Next season is about redemption. I fully expect every player on our team to buy in on their chance at redemption and bust their arse every single day. Now, we have a clear-cut starting QB to put our trust in. We live or die by Mett. There will be no more "what if we started ........ instead of Mett" threads. We are STACKED for seasons to come, and even though last year ended on probably the worst note possible, we are most definitely going to be in the hunt for the NC for the foreseeable future. frick LC, forget about Kiel, WR will be absolutely FINE.
