I went to Starkville my freshman year for that Miss St game in ‘82…we were shooting up the rankings and Hilliard was getting a lot of national recognition. Then right on cue, John Bond (only QB to beat LSU 4 times) dashed our hopes. Of course the Greenies put salt on the wounds at the end of the year right before going to the Orange bowl

The kid that kicked the game winning FG for Miss St was from Belaire HS in Baton Rouge (Dana Moore), and as for the Tulane game, Reggie Reginelli (Newman HS) is a name that still makes me ill to this day.

Oh jeeze. I woke my wife up with like 2 minutes to play in the 2012 Alabama game. We somehow lost. It was horrible.

Worst thing is we were up in Northern Michigan with family who split time between Michigan and Alabama.

2006 Auburn . That team was good and could have won it all. Jimbo lost that game for us.

1994 - LSU vs Auburn (Jamie Howard 6 INT’s)
1998 - LSU vs Notre Dame
2006 - LSU vs Auburn (1 the most frustrating loses in LSU history for me)
2008 - LSU vs Alabama (OT Game)
2012 - LSU vs Clemson (Was at the game, classic Miles)
2012 - LSU vs Bama
2018 - LSU vs Texas A&M

Had the game of his life that night….He was biting into oranges and throwing them at us in the student section after the game. I love Jerry Stovall…but he should have been a heisman winner, not a head coach.

We’d have another banner and trophy. We should have another banner and trophy.

LSU vs. Auburn 1994 - the interception game. The biggest butt kicking of an opponent I've ever seen LSU lose. Thanks Curley.

Auburn 2006. Nothing else comes close to that crooked shite.
uh, 17-12 loss to no. 1 USC in 1979 was perhaps the greatest game ever played in Tiger Stadium. .

If we win this game we go back to the SEC title game with a shot to go to back to back BCSCG

24-27 to Miss St and 28-31 to Tulane. Both upset losses that would otherwise had LSU playing for the NC that year, that coming off a 3-7-1 season including a 48-7 loss to Tulane.

I wish this were true but even winning these 2 games LSU still had a tie to Tennessee and if they had gone undefeated they wouldn't have vaulted over Georgia. The question is would have the voters put LSU high enough to be ahead of Penn State who had one blowout loss to the Alabama team that LSU destroyed?
